Te Mata Peak down Te Kahika

Nice ride on Te Mata peak down Te Kahika which is an intermediate downhill ride. One place I took the wrong option which was the Xpert route and had to briefly jump off my bike as there was a gap jump. Not for this old fella! Recorded on my iPhone mounted on handlebars so not the best video.
Taupo Great Lakes K2K Loop

One of the best rides in the Taupo area. Started in Kinloch and rode anti-clockwise to Whangatmata Road and then Otaketake Trai to Kawakawa Bay and back over the hill to Kinloch. My wife and I really enjoyed the variety of the trail through the wetlands and bush. There are some tight switchbacks coming back down the hill towards Kinloch but overall a fantastic grade 3 ride. Highly recommend
Redwoods Forest Loop (Whakarewarewa)

Beautiful ride around the Whakarewarewa Forest loop in Rotorua. The weather was a little drizzly at times but overall it made for a great ride. Took us nearly 4 hours in total with a few stops. Beautiful forest ride. Some think that the last 8km is a little boring down the concrete pathway, but it goes pretty quickly and is mostly down hill so pretty relaxing. Te Awa Trail - Hamilton to Cambridge

Te Awa Trail Hamilton (Ann Street Park) to Cambridge Great to ride this part of the trail. Some fantastic pathways in the inner city and then fantastic wooden trails out along the river. The weather was not great at times and it was nice to get to Cambridge for a cofffee before heading back.
Ohakune Old Coach Road

My wife and I rode the Old Coach Road from Ohakune. This vide only shows the outward trip which is about 15km. The return trip took us about 3.5 hours which including photo stops and a stop for about 15 minutes for some lunch. This is a strong grade 3 as it includes some quite bumpy tracks, tree roots, tight switch backs, and some short steep parts.

Thanks! It is a very useful video for route planning in Porirua for those seeking to avoid Paremata Road (which is simply not safe for cyclists at this point especially in the dark). I agree with a comment above that publishing a gpx route would provide even greater insight!
