Pentland firth on 2006
This film is made from pictures dating from 2006 with a camera using "mini dv". So the format is old.
The images depict the Pentland Firth between John O'Groats and the Orkney Islands. It shows a game of fishing and a ballet of dolphins playing around the boat.
Just look closely at the water and you see a large number of dolphins having fun. It is very rare to see so many dolphins at the same time.
Just be patient because dolphins appear at random and it is difficult to frame.

I'm still learning to use my new software to transfe rvideos

I went to the Isle of Skye many many years ago. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Dougie's music always inspires me. I saw her perform live once at the Kitchen in New York City.
Well done in beautiful Scotland accompanied with such beautiful music. I can’t believe it took a pandemic for me to find out about you.
Mi felicitaciones al grán País Britanico desde Paraguay, Sudamérica.
I'm an admirer of beautiful Scotland and the Scots especially Sir William Wallace, hero and patriot. From the Philippines.
Kinda missed the flyover, huh?
Did you mean Northern France in the title ?
Nice tunes but needed some periods of silence inbetween to break it up.
Is this one of the last "free" areas of the western Europe? Draged to the far north, where specific people are not willing to move due to weather conditions? Scattland the brave - be (and stay) free!
Not free while Adolf Sturgeon's got her paws on it...
Thank you Scott..Im a fan of Dougie & Skye..having trained from Sunderland England to Inverness back in 2000..peddle bike'n...cooking all my meals, riding daily 40 miles ..or so. Loving it! Two month period . Sept- Oct..& a two month trip cycling Cork county- Cork airport down & out onto Shirkin Isle, then west coasting up to Dingle town for 2 wks..for a flu bug threw its all at me..then rode east back to Cork..sleeping upon airport grassy field to make sure I wouldn't miss my 9am departure to Heathrow- & California
Anyone know how to reach Dougie..by mail (E- or snail) ? Than you ! Canyon in Carmel,Ca. USA .

Why do the guardmen’s caps have such variety of peak sizes and angle of slope?
Buggers with style.
@@adelef8280 In reply to Al MacMathain, The other ranks have slashed peaks on their forage caps, they look better than the standard issue caps which looked like bus conductors caps. I had my peak altered when I joined the Battalion in 1963.
Very smart
Where's the brothers at no black folks in positions of leadership in the British army at all every time I see one of these videos is whiteout
Thanks for the pictures of the Kyle of Tongue, was able to revisit the location my Uncles Ship the Ashbury sank in January 1945, the bodies of the crew were washed up on the beaches below the town
Thank you for doing this. I cannot think of a single person more feted and appreciated these past 12 months than Dougie Maclean. Every Saturday he has been there in Butterstone giving us cheer. He and Jenny and his family making all the concerts work have been a lifeline for us.
Soon they will be no marching in the streets if the leftist get there way .it’s deemed racist to them.
Smart disciplined soldiers, Guards Regiments the cream of the British Army. Praise indeed from a Coldstream Guards veteran.
1:52 my dad parents work there lol
Like in the American Army in the British military Santana people of color in leadership roles why is that is that the way things are is a UK can I see in America a lot of black generals and none in the UK that I know of I think that's a problem
The door is open for Black or Asian people to join the British Military and they are encouraged to do so but not that many seem to want to join up, and if they do there is nothing to stop them going to the top if they have the necessary attributes.
Is there a bloodless difference between American Military in the British military what I was saying is that in the American Military I see a lock door African-American in the position of the generals and high-ranking officers and I haven't seen much of that in the British Military and all every video scene British soldiers leadership role there all white
@@rodneyschells9652 Hi Rodney, all I can say is that it has never been easier for people of black or asian ethnicity to rise to the top in the British Military provided they have the necessary drive and qualifications to do so, they do it in politics and other walks of life but not in the military for some reason.
First air ' green grow the rashes ' o'
Pronunciation of some of the names is ropey but at least he tries his best with Loch instead of Lock. The English find the names hard to say but strangely the Dutch can manage no problem. I lived in Holland for a while and speaking a very small amount of Dutch I can understand why they fare well with Gaelic pronunciation.
Notice how everyone of the soldiers are about the same height.
These are the Queen's guards, I suppose that to be admitted, one must have a minimum height ...
@@Gillesscott when I joined the Guards you had to be a minimum of 5’10” but now because of low recruitment and equal rights etc., people that are vertically challenged (little people in other words) can apply to join, unfortunately.
Living next to a fort is amazing
Nice to see Scottish soldiers not cross-dressed.
You try facing them in their kilts .... With fixed bayonets!! And call them cross dressers.
wonderful pics and so love the songs!
I love all your music especially walking with my father and Caledonia!
Shame about the scratches on the windows bad for filming
An interesting video. I'm from Mexico. And I would like to visit your beatiful country maybe next year. I love Scotland since when I was a teenager.
In my humble opinion May June best time to visit. Everything is fresh. Also at risk of upsetting my friend's from the east stick to the west. Also take in Inverness. Remember you have a better time at a funeral in Glasgow than a wedding in Edinburgh.

SCOTS GUARDS IS AN ENGLISH REGIMENT,,The Scots Guards (SG), is one of the Foot Guards regiments of the British Army. Their origins lie in the personal bodyguard of King Charles I of England
British. Their origin lies in the personal bodyguard of the Marquiss of Campbell.
The Scots Guards are an English regiment??? tell that to the Scots Guards 🤫🤫🤫🤫
@@robinlinstrom6768 King Charles 1 was the second son of James VI of Scotland and born at Dunfermline Castle, he was a SCOT not English and he became King of England and Scotland and the Scots Guards were part of his bodyguard. It is true that a lot of Scots Guardsmen are English and a lot of Englishmen have served in Scottish Regiments especially if they have Scottish ancestry. I served in the Coldstream Guards (the oldest Regiment in the British Army) and we had some Scots lads in our regiment.

@@robinlinstrom6768 Hi Robin, I was giving a history lesson to the guy who was implying the SG were an English regiment. When I was at Pirbright in 1963 there was an Irish Guards Drill Sgt who put the fear of god up us but years later I met him when we were both civvy’s and we got on well, he was a great guy and still ramrod straight and smart as a button stick. Rivalry between the regiments is a good thing, keeps them on their toes.👍

One of the officers looks as though he needs a shit
One of the officers is Welsh Guards.
Scots have traditional links to the Welsh Guards, so you do get WG officers on secondment to the SG. There's likewise a traditional link with the Coldstreamers and Irish Guards.
