AH man, I really don't want to be *"That guy"* but today my wife and I were kicked out of a restaurant because she is Chinese, and we foolishly didn't notice the sign in the window that espoused they *"didn't serve Chinese dogs."* Generally I hide my disdain for Japan, but not today. Today I find reasons to interject random factoids as to why I despise this culture on some kind, unsuspecting persons positive video; don't blame me, I'm a product of the internet generation and everyone online is unhappy 5 min.... *"A modern Samurai"* meh, aka Gestapo? Given what I know about the history of this culture, I've never been able to understand why its socially acceptable, and encouraged to display an affinity for a culture of child attracted persons, that throughout history, that did nothing more than violate innocent farmers for their wealthy land owning employers. It's crazy how some random dead guys diary can change the perception of an entire culture; Mushashi . The reality of the "modern Samurai" is Nanjing, and Unit 731. So why do we gaijin now glamorize this socially awkward place? I live in Tokyo, and have for the better part of a decade; due to work, and I often wonder if Westerners knew the reality of this culture, would we find the Western glamorization of it as appealing as we do? I suspect he's aware given his interests; tattoos, life long interest in sword play, and would presumably be indifferent since he seems like a pleasant person (this makes it difficult for me to be so toxic). Most of us wouldn't though. I would have never came to JP had I known the culture has never been remotely similar to the *"nobel, honorable, warrior"* culture we portray it to be in cinema. Had he been a little boy growing up in the great Rockies of Colorado, and his buddy approached him like *"Hey 5 minute, did you know that men in Japan shower with their daughters until they the house for college"* he may of never picked up his bokken again (google it). Had he known about the obscenely loud shutter sounds on our cameras to prevent unsuspecting pics of women, had he been informed about the yellow squares women are required to stand in on the subway in attempts to diminish groping he'd of said *"F that, I'm going to be a based viking!"* Lol, the irony. All of that aside, the majority of the people here are the kindest people you will ever meet; to your face, and only if you're white, and don't have tattoos, and fit the stereotypical Asian beauty standard, and conform to the litany of cultural sterotypes. Ya, I would much rather be shot with a CZ that has a questionable stipple job, than cut with a machete that looks like a Wak! I lump people who know what they're doing with a sword and Great White Sharks into the same category; things I do not f with.. I'm a big boi, and pretty damn capable, and I'd be terrified of a man that competes in arm wrestling whos proficient with a sword coming at me.. Plz just fn shoot me instead.... Positives for those that are interested, if you have the aesthetic of Asmongold but with better hygiene and shorter hair you could have any woman you desire. Smex for $$$ is like Uber eats, delivered to your door, and cheaper than a McDonalds. People are honest, sincere, women allow their spouse to sleep with other women, and most of all, they're naive. You could walk up to any woman; prob including my wife, and claim a snake bit you on a phallic shaped body part, and they need to suck the poison out. 99% of the people here would do it without a second thought. The best way to think of JP as a Westerner is like traveling back to the 1950's America. People are innocent here for the most part so if you are a hedonist this is the greatest place on the planet. So don't screen shot this and share it on social media because you're of JP descent; it would be irrelevant since you are undoubtedly a Westerner, and or because I seem like a bigoted crazy person. There's only so much xenophobia someone can endure before they randomly take it out on some undeserving persons YT video. Watching my wife having to endure the treatment she did today, even though she's a JP citizen, and has lived here for two decades was just the last straw, and I gotta vent to strangers on the internet. Maybe next time you'll think twice before innocently acknowledging your affinity for objectively the worst culture I've ever encountered; worked in Europe, Singapore, China, Korea as well. Yeah ... Auto Protechs rock. I have one with only 60% of the finish left on the handle because it's been in my pocket for over 10 years, jammed in with keys, phone, extra mag, and everything else. Has cut everything under the sun. The action locks up just as tight as the day I bought it. My EDC and will probably be in my pocket the day I keel over and die. A mini Karambit? ... I just can't imagine or understand such a thing. You do you.

I have been having problems picking the one light but along the way it became my kind of other hobby, flashlights. Recently I ordered two of those shaped lights called Wurkkos HD01, that has side light, both white and RGB, that I can switch between, has the green lazerdot, like this Trustfire and it says 1200 lumens( don't know how accurate that is.) But I have before bought more than one at a time when I see some deals like on this one, and give some family member or a friend the other one. I have not been carrying it a lot but it is always by my hand when I'm here, watching something on my TV/computer. I think it was 20 -25 dollars each or something. There are so many lights out there but I have another squared light, Nitecore EDC27, that I have used a lot. But I might get this Trustfire one day.

Benchmade has always been my EDC go to. First the Griptilian for sentimental reasons, my dad got me in 2012 for my 16th birthday and lived in my truck until I lost it on the rogue river on a white water trip. Naturally the mini grip replaced it for a long time, now I’ve been running the Barrage for 2 years and looking for a slimmer longer bladed option. This is probably it!

The Chinese are killing it in the knife game but the names of some of these companies are downright comical . I giggle every time I see Petrified fish or Tuna fire on Amazon . I’m sure something gets lost in translation or they’re trolling us lol .

The first thing that I noticed is a beautiful design and second there are no mushrooms growing there's this one CZcamsr who was going on about his Grail knife he paid just under $500 and everyone including myself notice the mushrooms growing I own $40 knives and they don't have that issue Sencut Watauga warden cliff they were discontinued and I bought two more for $25 no mushrooms some people pay $450 I guess that's what you get for $450 mushrooms😊😅😂

I know you make great sheaths, but honestly my M1 sheath is great: clicks in tight and positive, the adjuster screw is right at halfway point. I think some people don't realize they have to adjust the screw. I know the quality isn't up to your standard, but the original sheath does work very effectively and does not dull the edge, so it's a win for me.

Have the bag, but not a fan. Will not stand up straight, and comression strap is annoying.

Heck, I still have that APOC wakizashi you reviewed last year leaning up next to my headboard, this would fit right along with it.

Just got one, black/black S45VN. First knife I've owned with the compression lock. At first wasn't sure if I liked it as i'm used to the liner lock, it is growing on me. Overall I like the blade shape and the feel in your hand. I agree the blade length could be a little longer.

Since it’s single purpose, and probably a single use knife I guess the steel is ok. Probably the design is stolen. Depends on your philosophy of use.

Excellent review. I bought one as a backpack light and it's great. On my lux meter, low is 30 lumens, Medium was 178 lumens, high was 498 lumens and turbo was 1259 lumens with a Hi-batt 30amp discharge max 18350 rated at 1300mAh battery. So it's pretty dead on in regards to claimed lumen output. The only thing I would like is a slightly larger lanyard hole just so I could keychain it a little easier and a reversible pocket clip. This would make an excellent gift for say someone who needed a very decent flashlight say for a bag, or in a glovebox due to the magnetic tailcap, or maybe for a purse, etc. Even at the 150 setting, which is a little higher on my higher quality 18350 but it should reach there no problem it's usually more than enough to get things done, and even at just the high level 500 lumens is kind of overkill for what the purpose of this light is trying to acheive. And the UI is very simple and easy to use. You're not going to set the world on fire but it's a very solid option as a backup light or just for someone who wants something without too many hassles. It also has a proper USB-C charging profile, so none of this USB-A to C conversion nonsense. However it does charge at 1amp which is starting to get a little high for such a small battery but the batteries are so cheap who cares. Also pro tip, you put the pocket clip on the bottom end not the top where the beveled part is. Don't sweat it. See the beveled channel at the top where the lens is and the power button? You have to put it there, I wish it was at least a reversible clip. But it does what it needs to do and you can put it on a ball cap. More than enough power to do some jobs behind the server rack or in the engine bay of your car.

A friend gifted me a Japanese made Cold Steel SRK in AUS8 steel that his dog has chewed the handle off of. I wrapped it in orange paracord and epoxied it together, and ten years later now it still looks as good as the day I did it. I also happen to have one of these Sensei blanks. How did you sharpen yours?

Weltool t1 pro is my edc. Only light I know of that size with a high candela.

The trustfire looks good. I have the streamlight protac and love it's battery flexibility. Then there's the weltool T1 pro as an edc thrower it doesn't get much better. 560 lumens and 21k candela for 300 meter max or 75 meter of useful throw and you can use a AA battery in a pinch. I'd carry both.they compliment each other. 2 is 1 and 1 is none

I like it. I've been belt carrying a fenix (uc35? Not sure) for over 2 years now, and i love it, but ive been in the market for a slightly smaller light with a clip for pocket carry when i don't want to belt carry. Got it for $60 with the discount
