Strange a lot of these older AT&T/Vtech phones started counting the ringers at 0. It’s even stranger when it has Ringer or Melody before it, or when it’s shown as the first option. In most cases, the default will be whatever’s numbered as tone 1. For example, the tone numbered as 1 on the SL82318, what is number 2 on today’s models, is the default.

You can tell a KX-TG30xx/35xx and 60xx apart by the base button layout. The 30xx/35xx has a round play button like the KX-TG103x, while the 60xx has a square play button. All these models came out in 2007. The bases also show the frequency. If you ever have any of these handsets and don’t know which base they go to, the orange display backlight goes to the 30xx/35xx and the white display backlight goes to the 60xx. I believe the colored handsets of this design were only available in 2.4GHz (KX-TG30xx).

Does the answering system menu of the KX-TGA641 work on the KX-TG93xx? I want to get one and/or a KX-TGA740 for my KX-TG9344 but only if it’s fully compatible. To test it: 1. Register a KX-TGA641 to your KX-TG9331 base. 2. Try to access the Answering Device menu, specifically the greeting options. 3. If you’re able to record or play the greeting, it’s compatible. If not, it isn’t.

It’s pretty cool how it’s the exact same design as my 6841 and a 7871! The Canadian charge tone is so different from the USA charge tone. Nice video!

That was a great video! But I have mixed feelings about this phone. Some of those ringtones were awesome, as they were remixed versions of classic ones. But I have no idea why anyone would want a phone with so many random ringtones if so few are remixes of iconic music.

Automated Call Block does use a different voice. “1” for example sounds different between the answering system and Automated Call Block greeting.

On non-US models, the low battery alert is a beep that plays when the battery is very low (displaying charge for 7h and the icon flashes). On US models, it’s a voice alert that plays when the battery is low (1 bar) or very low (flashing).

Awesome video! That phone is so different from anything I’m used to, and it seems ridiculously cheap for how good it is. Although it is a lot more modern and boring than I typically like. Hopefully, it lasts decently well.

The 4011 really is trying to be like the full-dot display handsets-anywhere text is on a background on a full-dot display handset (e.g. charging, handset number), it’s displayed as either (text) or [text[ on this handset. The base actually has a few more features available if you register a full-dot display handset to it. This handset is the KX-TGA402, but you can also use the KX-TGA401, 651, 652, 653, or 750 on it.
