Choir of the Earth Watch Party: Bergen Philharmonic concert on Friday 22 March 2024 at 18:30 UK time
This is a watch party for Choir of the Earth Members who would like to chat during Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra & Choir’s concert of Beethoven’s Violin Concerto and Brahms’ Requiem, conducted by Edward Gardner on Friday 22 March 2024.
The chat will begin at 18:15 UK time ahead of the concert starting at 18:30 UK time. There will be an interval of 30 minutes between the Beethoven and the Brahms but the chat will continue throughout. The concert should end around 21:00 UK time and this premiere (and therefore the chat) is due to end at 21:15 UK time.
Mark is in the audience watching live, as the team at the Grieghallen record this very concert for our upcoming collaboration with them on the Brahms' Requiem. Keep an eye out for the choir members wearing headset mics - these are the singers who are recording our guide tracks!

ℹ️ Here’s how to take part:
1. Open the concert stream on Bergenphilive by clicking here: bergenphilive.no/en/upcoming-live-streams/beethoven-s-violin-concerto-brahms-requiem
2. Chat along on this watch party stream in one of two ways:
(i) Play the concert on one device (like a tablet or smart TV) and then open this premiere and chat on a different device (like a computer or smart phone). Make sure you are "live" on both.
(ii) Have both the concert and this premiere playing at the same time on the same device (works best with a computer).
With this option, you may wish to "pop out" the chat from this video. To do this, click the ⁝ symbol at the top-right of the live chat and click "pop-out chat". This will open the chat in a new window, separate from this video. This video needs to keep running in the background but you can minimise it and forget about it, and just focus on the chat window. I’ve been catching-up and what a time I have had listening to the Hall of Fame 2024 songs. Every single one sounds wonderful! 👏👏👏👏👏. Its so weird how you can pick your own voice out on the track, quite remarkable! Amazing effort. I was with several of the former SPM's today, and cannot even articulate how much they all appreciated this. Wendy Buffery said she saw it live on Nick Wallaces book tour. If you perform this in London ever, I would like to be part of it please! Proud to have been involved.
I've been at the Inquiry most of this week, so missed this, but will watch it now.
