I didn't know for YEARS that you cannot apply a characters final limit break without having learned ALL of their other limit breaks first! Lol just found it out, and realized I have multiple characters that have skipped a limit break, and I would set it right away without learning the second limit break it the level... had no idea!

A better spot is in the cave. Go in from Junon side, go down the vine and head straight up. That place is stacked with weak enemies.

Might be other guides but I used yours just in time to plat FF7 the day before Rebirth comes out.

mythril cave is the best, enter from junon side and then head north to the second screen to the next area in the cave, thats because in t area, every fight always guarantee 4 to 5 enemies each fight. if u use speed up hack like seventh heaven app u can get everyone limit in like an hour or two. for limits that requires u to use limit break to unlock them, just equip the weakest pdef and mdef bangle and fight the midgar snake outside the mythril cave in the marshes. make sure to use the item that give the character fury status so ur limit can fill in fast when taking damage.

Been watching through this LP over the past few days, used to watch you years ago and im glad you're back and kicking ass. A fun fact about the final Sephiroth battle where its just him and cloud, Sephiroth has a max HP of 1, if sense worked on him it would show his HP as 1/1. So you could literally do anything to him and he would die in one shot.

I started grinding early because I wanted to purchase the Shinra Villa 😁

It hurts my sense of strategy to see Yuffie in the front row while Cloud and Tifa are in the rear. Also, Yuffie's kill count for Landscaper/Gauntlet is in fact 64/128, and yes each character has a different kill count threshold to reach their next limit break level. Since this is the earliest point to recruit Yuffie, this is also the earliest place to grind for her limits, but you would need the other 2 party members to cast a multi-hit spell to weaken enemies first, as when you get to this area you are probably not going to one-shot them if you didn't grind. Yuffie joins the party at +/- a few levels of whatever Cloud is at, maxing out at 42. Cloud/Barret/Tifa can all get to LV3 in early Midgar fairly easily in the sector 4 tunnel where there are alot of easy lightning-weak multi-enemy formations if you are willing to spend some time. Aerith maybe at the dilapidated hwy even though it's not optimal just so you can relish her limits before you lose access to them. and Nanaki wait till Mythril cave/the Junon area forest in this vid. my first two gamefiles Yuffie always skipped bloodfest into gauntlet and I didn't know why. but this is actually easily explainable. Yuffie's kill count from going from 1-2 and then 2-3 are actually much much lower than it is for other characters, while she still needs to hit 8 landscapers (same as any other character) to get her 2-2 limit. So if she's in your active party, there's a good chance she'll hit her 'kill requirement' before 8 limit breaks.

People will get mad at you not playing correctly? On such an old game and whoever has played it beat it like a zillion times who cares about cheats right just have fun!

3X speed is absolutely cheating. Grinding is called grinding for a reason. The time involved wears down your resolve, will, concentration, and overall enjoyment of the game. All of these make the game more mentally difficult to beat. Artificially removing that difficulty is, by definition, cheating. (But also it's a 25 year old single player game, and no one cares. Do what you want.)

I remember in my very first playthrough back when the game came out. I did not know that i "had" to catch a Chocobo to get past the Midgar Zolom. So i trained a lot. But mostly killed the Monsters without Limit Breaks. And i skipped a few Limits and wondered why. And then i when i was strong enough to beat the Zolom i accidently had the perfect timing to just walk past it XD

mythril mines much better, also stealing ethers. Less then 1h I got 3 team members to 3rd limit level being Cloud (which takes longest) Tifa and RedXII. And yes each char has a number of kills to get next level, easily found in gamefaqs.

Would you ever do a Tears of the Kingdom play through?

Probably 90% of my gaming is done on my PS5. The other 10% is split between the Xbox and the switch. The Xbox is fine just not my favorite. I’ll play it like once a year if I feel like replaying the wild hunt or something old I already own on the Xbox cause I hate rebuying games. And the switch…look it’s great. It is. But i regret buying the damn thing. Maybe cause i bought the lite and cant throw it in the tv? Idk but i just don’t always enjoying playing stuff on handheld. As for PC gaming, aside from my sims days, I’ve never been able to get into playing something on pc. To me it’s very overrated.
