At 2:47 what is the rule?

This would have been much more helpful as a walkthrough if you actually logged the people and documented their deaths as you went along. Early on, you at least looked at everyone but after the Murder chapter you didn't really identify anyone, even new people we hadn't met yet, like the Asian immigrants on the boat.
