I make synth based music using Ableton featuring Eurorack and other hardware synths.
March of the Kaiju
This was to be for drone day 2024, but it ended up being a full song.

Noise Engineering Percussion Comparison
zhlédnutí 81Před dnem
Just a little comparison of kicks from a handful of Noise Engineering modules. It does eventually develop into a little jam. Everything is sequenced by Ableton. Toms are samples played with in Ableton.

Got a new module this past weekend. Incus Iteritas Alia, so far I like it a lot.
Wormhole

A new song which I decided to add some reactive visualizations. This track is also available on my Bandcamp 0day.bandcamp.com/track/wormhole
Sunday in March Jam

Just a little thing on the modular. Kick is BIA, Snare is Plaits but run by Steppy. Black Seq is running the pluck (Transformer), bass (Manis) and melody (Cursus). The drone is the 4ms Ensemble OSC, being modulated by lots of things. Ableton providing some effects.
Marbles Ambient

Just a little after work relaxation, nothing serious going on here.
March Modular Jam
zhlédnutí 109Před 2 měsíci
Another modular jam. All sequencing is in Ableton as well as effects added in post.

I apologize for the slurring not used to hearing my own voice in the headphones. Been a bit busy of late and this is the first chance I've had to do anything music related. Please enjoy.
Jamuary 2024 Day 20
zhlédnutí 169Před 4 měsíci
Been busy the past week and couldn't really do much for Jamuary. Since it's the weekend here goes!
Jamuary 2024 Day 10
zhlédnutí 61Před 4 měsíci
Not much to say about this one, just some simple drones with a Berlin School pluck & a lead over top.
Jamuary 2024 Day 8 video
zhlédnutí 63Před 4 měsíci
Attempt at doing a voice over explaining the patch I'm running. I'll see how this goes.
Jamuary 2024 Day 6
zhlédnutí 72Před 4 měsíci
This time I'm focusing on something other than Eurorack. Tho the 3 channels of Rene are sending pitch to each of the OSCs on the 2600, and gate from Rene channel X is providing gates. Pressure points is setup to change the snake pattern. The Hydra is doing a pad, off screen the Poly-D doing a bass drone and the Pro3 doing a lead. Syncing this one was a pain, it's little off at points.
Jamuary 2024 Day 2 Berlin School - Sort of
zhlédnutí 200Před 4 měsíci
Day 2 is the Analog Rytm MK II doing my crappy version of Berlin School. Recorded into Ableton with a bit of EQ and comp on the master just to get the levels up. I also apologize for a couple of the flubs, fighting through a cold :(
I really enjoyed where your drone ended up, Eric 👍
March != drone in my mid generally, so I'm excited to hear what that means here. :)
I am not disappointed!
Very "I can see the pyramids" (my interpretation) there at the end. ;)
The "reviews" for synths often lack the useful information / audio examples that we crave while the author ruminates and talks or spends way too much time on film-making. This was one of the good ones. People can make real buying decision based on this. :) Well done!
Thanks for that. My approach was just that, give useful examples both in isolation and in context of a full song.
I love their units..I think what I love most is that you can swap the firmware across each family. Sounds great! Sorry to take to long to get around to listening! :)
Drone just 'slightly' enhanced, ha ha ha, great job Eric.
5:47 - I get strong Rick Wright vibes And the very end made me think of some early Prodigy stuff. Very cool arrangement - I'm off to check out more of your stuff
Really cool! How long did it take to make it?
Sounds like a Nintendo 64 Contra Game - fighting the final boss 📺👾
Wow Eric! This is amazing!! Love it! 🙂 I have herd really good things about the Incus Iteritas Alia! 🙂
Modular patching a mystery to me … very interesting piece, a lot of sounds blending well together
This is absolutely joyous, original enough whilst staying true to the source material. And it's inspired me to go out today and get some new string and get back at practicing this song. Thankyou. -~<3 Rock on.
Those guitars really punch at the end! Good job 🙂
I'm scared to get into modular LOL - Sounds great.
very nice indeed, Eric... I will have to have a look at that new module you have there 👍
I have no clue what the new module did but the sum of all parts was a very tight song, that's for sure.
lovely :D
At first it sounded like a HL2:EP1 track.
This gives the feeling of finally beating dr. eggman, that motherfucker... In all seriousness, this is amazing. Almost reminds me of a modern-day Isao Tomita kind of approach.
Heh heh he. Very good! But guitar and bass is still best. Rock Rock.!!!
On the slow side, but awesome nonetheless
this is beyond epic!!! I love it!
Wow, gear o rama, sure hope you are rich! nice work!!
Well I've never heard it played like that it's actually not bad mate ....well done!!
Man this channel is awesome! Transcendental work bro! I especially liked your Orion cover. Keep up good work :)
Thanks man, I appreciate it!
Great idea, and I believe a lot of skill went into this, but it's just not my jam. Kudos anyways.
Holy shamoly! I can only imagine the time it took to set this up man, excellent job! Subb’d
Damn!, i can´t grasp how you only have less than 200 views man! .... keep up the GREAT work. Love from Mexico!
Thank you for the kind words my dude
cool . sounds great ,you are doing great work . maybe i should revisit fl studio vst hell again...
modular bros terrify me i look at all those wires and my brain shuts down. awesome shit tho
Hey man this is awesome!!!!!! Did you make a cd??? I want it!!!!!
awesome thanks for the upload. love the gear, love the music, love the video coverage
this is great! :D
Absolutely amazing!!!!!!! Seriously, this is exceptional and the epitome of artistic interpretaion. Thank you for this I so enjoy it.
Sorry to say but I could make a better song with £300 of software/hardware, a laptop and about 60 minutes. I do appreciate synthesis but modular is more about fidgeting with electronics that it is music.
man shut up
Fair play, man! That is some feat. RESPECT.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
OMG virtuoso playing!
GM soundfont cover with way too many CV-based extra steps (this is a compliment)
The algo wants me to listen to not-metal covers of metal on this Saturday. May this comment bring many more views.
How on earth a plane cockpit with tangled wires can render an entire composition is beyond my grasp, but the result is freaking awesome. Good job Master of blinking knobs!
Ok so its basically a bunch of different voltage controlled circuits (as amplifiers, oscillators, phasers, etc.) you get a sound by combining a circuit with other (with the cables) and you shape the sound controlling the voltage with the potentiometers. Those plane cockpits are responsible of the whole electronic music born and most of this circuits were made to color different instruments, and ngl those things are orgasmic to work in if you like gear minimally, they give infinite posibilities
I don't know about the cockpit, but it certainly reminds me of what I saw in an AWACS jet years ago. Only the wires and cables were behind/under the consoles. 😀
analogue sintethiser . very powerfulll sound easpecialy for your composed midi files
Watch astaunished as the blinkenlights
Change he playback speed to 1.25x, and you have the same tempo as the original song
some daft punk stuff here good job
Even better at 1.25 speed.
Hahaha brilliant!! Spot on
Outrageous!!! in the best way possible :)
