Thoroughly enjoyable. Wish I'd found your channel sooner. Thank you!
Fantastic :)
That story is a treasure thank you so much for sharing it with us!
That's good whistling
Good reading of one of my favorite authors….New sub.
How your so good
Thanks I enjoyed the story. Brings back memories of my dreaming of autumn.
The sound of the monster 😨
Out of tune
It made my dogs bark!
“The coming age of darkness, fire and trivialization.” An apposite triad indeed.
In his previous life, David was known as H.P. Loveceraft.
Couples with issues always make the best horror prey.
Looks like the door knockers in Jim Henson's movie, The Labyrinth. Which I love and even as a man of 46, still watch pretty much once a year.
Nice narration thank you!
🤙Aloha from extreme northern California (new subscriber) exceptional & enjoyable stories, a pleasant but posh voice & a quality recording too (five stars)
You wrote this?!! That was a pleasant surprise, I will definitely be checking out any other original content.
Loving your original writings I'd happily listen to you bang through every Lovecraft or Weird Tales story with Sherlock bumbling through:)
Hey! Sherlock is my guy.😁
@@feliciascott5544 he is a big druggo in these and missing obvious supernatural phenomenonenonoms :) Thankfully Watson is on the case!
Seen them in France. Think it is about death and rebirth from death ,like Christ. `The Golden Bough` written in 1890 by Sir James George Frazer is a must read on the subject. The book is on the table of Colonel Kurtz in the film Apocalypse Now.
If you ever feel like reading one of mine from ST, you are most welcome to, David. Vicki Day
Thanks Vicki!
the green man or wild man us Europe's version of the biblical Nephilim, much like how the modern day clown in the West has its vibrant colors pale face and red nose (the bright colors are from their ancient parents who were more serpent like hence the trippy colors) and similiar clowns/interpretations of these like the Hindu God Narasimha with its big red mouth and fangs this can be seen over in japan too as the Oni again multi color big red mouth and fangs. they are the offspring of the nehpilim and the idea is if people worship/dress up like them they can take that person over. A great example of someone being taken over by the clown is the notorious John Wayne Gacy from the US who dressed up as a clown and murdered and consumed his victims. thought you might like!
And it's only 158 pages.
Hey Longhorn, if you still need any non-fiction for Supernatural Tales I might be able to contribute a few things. Most of my own articles tend to go into D.J. Tyrer’s The Supplement, but his schedule is a bit erratic. (He’s a good editor, but he juggles way too much for a micro-press.) I was working on a retrospect focusing on the Corman-Poe Cycle. I also realised it was the fiftieth anniversary of both King’s Carrie and Herbert’s The Rats and thought a joint-retrospective on that might be interesting.
Love it. Really enjoying your original works, thank you!
Jesus is the green man.
Great story, your own and the ones from the mag you edit are brilliant.
Love the blending of two absolute favourites here - Sherlock meets Innsmouth. Thank you! Just subscribed!
I’ve got a Green Man-related tale of my own stuck in development hell.
Wonderful. Love the extension to Shadow.
I always find war stories whether paranormal or real incredibly poignant, as is this story.
Delightful, spot on narration. Thank you!
Fabulous ❤ I'm a sculptor and I've done so many versions of this. It's one of my favorite subjects.
This seems more like Lovecraft than A. C. Doyle. Very cool
More horror than mystery, but enjoyable. Thank you!
Oh wow! Sherlock Holmes and Dagon? What a treat! Thank you! ❤️
Thank you for uploading
I'm surprised there is no mention of Al-Khidr in the Islamic tradition. His name literally means The Green One. He is believed to be the Friend of God mentioned in the Quran who walked and guided Moses for a short period of time before leaving him. Some scholars say he continues to exist today and has existed long before his encounter with Moses.
I'm curious now. Thank you.
Excellent. Spooky and divine.😊
Great narration! The voice is perfect for this kind of story. Loved it! More please!
A very good reading and excellent choice and use of music. One of the closer to the original members of the extensive SH derivative genre .
A new holmes story. And a Wodehouse story. Same issue. Im having Timequake jumblies.
Nice thanks for the video
Now that I am nearly at the end, I recognize this for the “Lovecraftean niche genre” … not so much a fan of LC but if you find other pastiche I am definitely here for it!
I enjoyed this pastiche! Are there more where this came from? New sub, just in case 🤩
That's not Conan Doyle
Get set. Holmes is now out of copyright. The flood has begun.
