You are changing solinoids that have nothing to do with this particular code. These are varible valve timing solinoids you replacing. Shift solinoids will be on transmission. 🤙👍

Do not use after market parts, especially Dorman, to replace a VANOS solenoid. When it fails it can take your engine with it. When you replace these solenoids it's best to replace both of them. Did you check for a code? I'm just wondering why you changed the exhaust solenoid and not the inlet one which would have been more likely to be causing a stall. Another cause of rough idle and stalling on these engines is the engine temperature sensor which can fail and not throw a code. Let the car sit overnight and without starting the car look at the live data from the sensor, if it's bad it'll show a high temperature even when cold

Hey man, thanks a bunch. 2013 yukon, same deal.. rubber degraded and switch guts fell out. Just replaced it in under 3 mins using your method. I used a slightly wider flat blade screwdriver to sorta bend-pry it and some bent needle nose pliers to pull. Held on to the locking tab while pushing the new switch on and just dropped the lock tab into position. The longest part of the job was washing my hands after. Thanks man, from northern Ontario

For GM models 2007 and prior you should be using Genuine GM Fluid 88861950 Transfer Case Fluid and NOT Dextron VI just in case you are watching this video with a 2007 and prior vehicle like me.

The rubber goes bad and the switch falls out onto the road. It's a crappy design.

My jeep patriot 2014 2.4 has aproblem guys i dont know what to do😢 it has no error codes and no engine light or anything of that sort nor does it idle rough but when driving the gears shift slower then normal and the big problem i have is that it does not want to exceed 80miles and rpm is stuck at 3000 and if i floor it the rpm will go to 4000 but the speed will remain the same and engine light will come on flashing . Pls help anyone

Good video, I wish I had seen this before. I eventually realised it was my battery and then I came here to see if there were any videos to confirm my findings. I was on a wild goose chase with electrical faults , I thought that it was the front control unit on my Carrera 997.2 , alternator etc. I had very erratic behaviour of all the electrical systems, fan, windows, spoiler staying up etc.When I checked the battery it was only reading 11.5 V. I felt stupid not checking the battery first as the car would crank over very well and run fine, so that was all very confusing. I tested further as I learned a lot from this, the ECU must be reliant on the condition of the battery despite the alternator supplying charge to it and over 14v. I found that when I connected a powerful charger it would operate normally when charging, all very strange. Lesson is the voltage level is very critical and a degraded battery is not at a high enough level and ECU knows this. I hope more people see your video too. All the best

Can you just replace one tire on jeep Patriot 4x4 if one goes bad?

Odd question. Have you ever had fluid leaking out of the front differential vent line? There is a capped line near the ECM on the drivers side that suddenly started leaking. Has about 2000 miles on front/rear diff fluid...and a new transmission, done by the GM dealership. 245k miles, I'm at a loss. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!

Any idea how to remove to rear comfort lights? I can't find anything showing how... I've tried but can't pop them out and don't want to break anything.. please help✌🏽🇦🇺

The throttle valve fails because it is filled with oil. I recommend installing an Air Oil Separator in the crankcase ventilation hose. It costs $5-$7. Thanks Omar for the video. We now have a lot of Jeep Patriots in Ukraine. And your experience is very useful to us! A lot of American equipment is fighting for the independence of our country. It is very reliable, but it also has to be repaired sometimes. We won't give up!

I'm totally not surprised. My rear bumper support was missing a bolt from the factory. When those trim pieces lose their seal they hold dirt and moisture which rusts your doors out. Gotta love Jeep these days.

I JUST BOUGHT THE 7 " X20-1 Once unplugged (Cig lighter plug only, it goes off. No power storage which is a pain. I have found the day screen as it is set on night screen I switch to day screen, once I go out of the app. it goes back to night so I have not figured that out. Unplug the unit goes OFF. Can not get the day screen to hold. When on night screen during the day you can hardly see it. I do like it but if I can not find the run when unplugged and the day screen it is going back.

HECK yeah. Exactly the information I was looking for on my 650S rebuild. I'm at the point diagnosing the ESC fault, PCC fault, power steering fault. Suspected the clock spring/steering angle sensor, and this confirmed it and showed me how to do it. Huge respect brother! Thank you so much for posting this!
