Hunting, fishing, and exploring ALASKA with Bailey and Jayme!
We spend as much time as we can outside exploring this beautiful state. In the winter we enjoy the snow on our snow machines, 2023 Polaris 9R and 2023 Patriot 850 Boost, riding the mountains and winter camping! We also dabble in ice fishing.
During the beautiful Alaskan summer we spend everyday we can on our boat, 2023 Raider 280 Offshore with twin 300 Suzuki's. We do a lot of exploring and A LOT of fishing!

Part I | 2024 Shrimping | Prince William Sound | Whittier, Alaska
Every year we launch the boat out of Whittier, Alaska and spend around 10 days shrimping, fishing, and exploring Prince William Sound.
We got extremely lucky this year with some INCREDIBLE weather, opposed to last year when it hung around 32°F and RAINED the entire time (and we mean down poured).
This is the first of three videos we will be posting from our stay in the sound this year, followed by Part 2 which will focus on our time exploring and Part 3 which will highlight another full day setting and pulling shrimp pots!
For those of you who haven't been fortunate enough to try these bad boys, THEY ARE GOOD! (even raw!) The best way we have found for cooking them is to get a pan nice and warm at about medium, maybe a little higher, add some butter, garlic, and whatever other seasoning y'all are into (we use a small bit of Old Bay), dump them in the pan and flip them after about 3 minutes. They don't take long to cook, and unlike the shrimp you're used to eating they're naturally pink so you'll only be able to see a slight color change where the translucent part becomes a bit more white. You can do this with or without the shells, for us it depends if Bailey will take the shells off first 😉. Check out our instagram for more cooking inspo!!
Thanks for watching

1 WEEK, 2 BEARS - Alaska | Black Bear Hunting | Prince William Sound
zhlédnutí 3,1KPřed měsícem
During a week long trip in Prince William Sound we brought home TWO very nice spring black bears! The first stalk went a little rogue thanks to some unfortunate wind direction. We knew going across the cove would put us upwind of the bear, but Jayme was a little anxious about rounding the corner (on land) and her timing.. oh well, lessons learned. Later that same day we happened to see an even ...
Kachemak Bay | Cook Inlet | Spring Bear Hunting and Trolling for King Salmon
zhlédnutí 296Před 3 měsíci
This weekend we went down to troll Kachemak Bay for King's and check out the start of the Cook Inlet for spring bears. We camped in a beautiful cove which we checked for bears/bear sign, unfortunately we found ourselves at a North facing mountain and the snow hadn't quite melted enough for us to see any sign of bears. We plan on going back in a few weeks for better luck. We used some of our can...

Average Weekend in ALASKA!! Snow Machining, Wrecking into a Creek, Ptarmigan, & Northern Lights!

One sunny weekend in March we drove up to Talkeetna (~5 hours) to visit with some friends! Our friends, Mile 9 on IG, have an amazing property with 4 dry cabins! It is easily accessible and a great place to snow machine from. Our weekend in Talkeetna included shooting a Ptarmigan (Alaska's state bird) and cooking it up as an appetizer, digging Jayme out (multiple times), launching fireworks (ac...
Canning 50 pounds of Alaskan Salmon, Halibut, and Lingcod!
zhlédnutí 472Před 4 měsíci
The second best part to catching fish in Alaska is having a freezer full of salmon, halibut, lingcod, and rockfish to eat all winter long! But what do you do when summer is just around the corner and you still have a full freezer? CAN IT! In this video we can about 50 pounds of salmon, halibut, and lingcod we caught last summer. Typically, we wouldn’t keep so much extra fish but we were getting...

Shrimpin’ ain’t easy 😅
Could you please do a follow up video to this one about how everything tasted? And if you would try anything different the next time. I am mainly interested in the Halibut. I need to can some halibut from my freezer and I have never done it before. I am concerned that it is going to be really dry. Thank you!

I loved that, that was probably the coolest trip I have ever been on!!
It was a special one for us too!! And an honor to have you on the boat!
It's kind of surprising how the weather on the Kenai Peninsula can be so different in a relatively short distance. I live in Homer, which is about 85 miles south of Sterling by road. When Sterling was having a long string of days below 0 in January we only got below 0 a couple of days and about half of our days that month had highs above freezing. When Sterling got to -30 we only got down to -2.
Totally agree! Some winters it is so surprising when we drive to homer and can see grass! 😂
11:04 epic!! Hahaha I love that! Looks like a hoot of a time with a good group of people 🎉
Grindin’ the rail ain’t as easy on cross country skis! 😂
