The Doors interpretando una versión inquietante de "The End" en Toronto en 1967. The Doors desarrollaron esta canción durante presentaciones en vivo en Whisky a Go Go, un club de Los Ángeles donde fueron la banda de la casa en 1966. Tuvieron que tocar dos sets por noche, por lo que se vieron obligados a extender sus canciones para completar los sets. Esto les dio la oportunidad de experimentar con sus canciones. "The End" comenzó como la despedida de Jim Morrison a Mary Werbelow, su novia que lo acompañó desde Florida hasta Los Ángeles. Se convirtió en una epopeya de 11 minutos. Morrison vivió sólo cinco años más".

I lived through those years and loved the Doors and Morrison but watch the vid with Travis Meeks singing this with the remaining Doors. It's better in My opinion. When he says Yeah alright at the end It's fricking awesome.

Fucking wow! I worshiped Jim Morrison when I was 15/16 years old. I had a life size poster of him on my closet door. The Lizard King. I have been to his grave in Paris. We got kicked out of the cemetary for drinking wine at his grave. I am 54 years old now and my 16-year-old son loves the Doors.
