Hi Frank. I'd quite like to know why you play the guitar that you do and maybe others do too? I'm less interested in the brand but more the size ( I assume yours is a dreadnought or Jumbo?) as I find them a bit too large and prefer no bigger than a triple 0 down to a parlour sized model. I assume it is acoustically helpful for projection and such at your venues? I am not a smaller person but simply find smaller bodies guitars a lot more confortable given I sit and play mostly.

Very well put. When you buy a “used” guitar, which was what most of us did when we began playing, a good guitar will be already “played in.” I have a ‘65 Gibson B-25 acoustic I bought for under $100.00. It was great when I got it and seems to get better every year. BTW, remember when “used” guitars were cheap? …

Feel free to send me any and all bass tube amps lol been looking for a couple of years, but these people with walls of cabs and heads want a fortune for something “dead and obsolete”. If so lower the prices so people like me who actually appreciate and want them can buy em. This is a general statement based on what I see on the market and what I hear people saying btw, not directed at anyone in particular. I get it, but I’ve had to sell gear at a loss too. We’re in a rapidly declining economy and people need to sell for what they can before they just have paper weights.

Interesting idea Frank, so I 've come up with my own A-Z. Songs without asterisks are ones I've performed live, ones with one asterisk are songs I've rehearsed but not performed, songs with two asterisks are future possibilities, so here it is, I hope it be of interest to you and others looking for some ideas of songs to play : - Always on my Mind Blowing in the Wind Can't Help Falling in Love With You Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood Exit Music (for a film)* Feeling Good Get Back * House of the Rising Sun / Hallelujah I'd Rather Go Blind Jennifer Juniper ** King of the Road ** London Calling My Way Need Your Love so Bad Only You Perfect Day Quinn the Eskimo ** Riders on the Storm ** Somewhere (from West Side Story)* The Thrill is Gone Unchained Melody Venus in Furs ** Wonderful World X Y Z Bit impossible so for XYZ I'll go for 'The Impossible Dream'* rehearsed it many times and it's nice to play but too much for my voice!!

I use the Lekato 5.8 ghz knockoffs of these (about 1/2the $) and I love 'em. The only time I had a problem with dropping out was when a restaurant put me in a spot where their wireless pager router was at the same level as my floor units and about three feet away. That's one time out of well over a hundred gigs since I've had them. I hate chords. Especially attached to my guitar, I feel like an astronaut on a tether during a space walk. (I always bring cables with me as backups, of course, and had to use them in the example I gave above ).😁 I should add that I also use the Lekato 5.8 microphone wireless system with my SM58 and like that too.

Great advice! I’ve performed with a lot of working musicians. The best of them know that our job is to entertain, not to feed our ego. 😊 But the good news is that all those songs have room for interpretation, giving us a chance to bring some of our own freshness to them. (Now, we just need some emergency classic songs for younger generations!)

Good timing on this vid - as I am very close to going wireless, particularly form acoustic duo work, as I like to once in awhile walk out around the front of the mains to hear everything,, engage a bit with the audience etc. Plus playing at a market the other day my guitar cables get dusty on the ground etc., I sometimes have 2 acoustic guitars with me thought so I should see about having two transmitters and one receiver (if that exists). Glad they work well for you - I was researching brands awhile back and tough to decide what to get. I will just lunge forward and get something soon to try out before my next gig .

Hi Frank. I’ve been using these for performance for years. Not doing much walking around on stage, but it’s great to not have a tripping hazard. My only suggestion besides charging every night when you get home from playing is - ALWAYS have a couple of different length guitar cables with you for backup. If they die during a job, you need to be able to recover pronto.
