I have a question, i have the exact same mower with engine, mine turns over but wont start. ive changed the carburator(new), new spark plug, fresh fuel but still wont start. There is gas going in the carbuerator cause it backfires. what could be the issue of not starting? or what to look for?
I just picked one up not as nice as the one in the video for $900. I changed the fluids, adjusted the reverse actuating cable and brakes just because I like my vehicles sorted.
Boy it's too damn bad we didn't hook up before you sold that "14". I had a mint 1466 with loaded cab, tilt, ice cold air, am-fm radio, factory side tint glass, it had 2230 actual hours. I was a red and white man all my years of farming. Dairy farmed, farrow to finish, custom chopped, started in 1979 had to quit in 97. Had two open heart surgerys, sold everything including 250 acre farm but wife and I kept acreage (5) acres with nice house big shed and rest of outbuildings. Then went restoring '67-'72 Chevy/GMC 4x4's until last year. Nearly 350 of them--body-off and body on. By the way with new rear radial tires and full case of front weights my 1466 went down to Missouri for $15,000. Pretty good money back in '98. I'm looking for a front assist older (06, 56, 66) series tractor of any size, let me know if you know of anything!!!!! Jim

No wonder the engine is crap, it's still used on the mail trucks where I live in Southern NJ, and they Crank like crap.
