The length of the field Balmain one for me.

Eric Grothe is the best winger I’ve seen. Some wingers today score spectacular aerial tries, but none of them have the running power of Grothe, or that Meninga-like fend. Grothe and Kenny are my all time favourite Eels.

No doubt drowned sorrows at the leagues club bar after a miserable loss to the (well-drilled) arch enemy. Manly were a powerhouse with money to burn in the early 80s; Sharks ran on an oily rag and were always teetering on bankruptcy. Rogers was a marvel. Hatch a club legend. Go Sharkies!

Great upload...! A classic interview with Steve Mortimer. I remember that game when Tommy Raudonikis replaced Turvey at half time, with NSW being well beaten,and running straight over to the Qld half back and started bashing him up. Sure was a different time then,for if anyone tried what Raudonikis did,they'd be banned for life. It's no wonder why Qld are so hard to beat in Origin. For the mighty Blues to have a chance they have to play at their very best...like this year. Thanks again 😁👍

Back in the days when the game wasn't so corporate, all the kids could come on at the end and pat their heroes on the back - and you had to sit on stairs! Rick Chisholm's cool red headband though looks like didn't save him from getting subbed by John Gibbs.

Childhood here - he could do it all. Great as a half back, but when the team was short of talent at hooker or lock, he'd slot in there as needed (even when his replacement at #7 were inferior).

Seriously the biggest bunch of cry babies in existence. Had a massive cry in 1963 when they couldn’t beat St George. Concocted a ridiculous story about the referee backing St George. Didn’t bother tackling Johnny King who got up and ran away to score. 1978 - minor premiers who went out the back door in straight sets. They claimed they were the most feared team in Sydney. Where were they when it counted? Did nothing as a club after this season. Rightly punted at the end of the century.
