Music and video you may not see or hear anywhere else! I started jimsradiomusic to present original videos of my own music, music by my friends, music where I had some direct connection with the artist, writer or producer, or any other old song I feel is forgotten or was overlooked at the time of its release. All videos are originals as we do not re-post other videos. We use a lot of live action video and, in some cases, actors to assist in telling the story. The site features Christian, Pop and Country music as well as short features or documentaries. Some feature interviews I did with the artist or portions of an aircheck from my days on the radio. I have rejected all offers to make money from the channel as it is totally about the music. I hope you enjoy the music and will subscribe and share the music. Over 20 years in the radio and music business. Musician for most of my life.
Jim Golden - "Reach Out For Your Dreams"
I had completely forgotten about this song until discovering an index card sized sheet of paper containing the only written record of the lyrics. The song was written for the 1982 Santa Rosa County, Florida Junior Miss Program, for which I served as Master of Ceremonies, but was not ready for performance as I was told there would be no time for it. When the judging ran long pageant officials asked me to do the song. I had not finalized it as I had not transposed it to a key where I could sing it and I knew I could not hit the high notes in the chorus. Nevertheless, I gave it a shot. You can see the lyric sheet taped to the top of my guitar if you closely look at the photo. My buddy Rick Hord, a radio news reporter, was covering the pageant and recorded the song and other pageant activities. The audio was taken from an old audio cassette, given to me by Rick, which had been in storage since the mid 1980s. This is a true Rough Cut

Jim Golden - "Southern Harmony"
zhlédnutí 303Před 3 lety
"Southern Harmony", which I wrote in November of 1994, is a song based on a childhood experience. I attended a small, fringe denomination church, commonly then called a Holiness church, where the pastor was also a music teacher. Several times a year he would conduct what he called "Singing Schools" where people from other churches would gather after the Sunday morning worship service, share din...
Jim Golden - "Gregory"
zhlédnutí 142Před 3 lety
"Gregory" was written in January 1985 and this "Rough Cut" is the first recording of the song. It is the only song I have written which is designed to be sung by a female artist. At the time I wrote it I did approach a young lady about singing the vocal on a demo but, being young, she didn't seem to understand the meaning behind the song and didn't show any real interest in the project. I hope ...
Jim Golden - "Heed The Call"
zhlédnutí 262Před 3 lety
I wrote "Heed The Call" in the Summer of 1971, at age 22, while a member of Jimmy Stewart & The Christianaires. The song was part of our concert repertoire for about three years, depending on the crowd we were performing for. Since a large part of our set included the "hits of the day" and some traditional hymns, "Heed The Call" was considered by many older people to be part of that Hippie Chri...

Jim Golden - "Midnight Obsession"
zhlédnutí 257Před 4 lety
The 100th video posted on jimsradiomusic is a song from my 2007 "After Hours" CD, "Midnight Obsession". It was written and recorded in 2006. The most amazing thing about the song is it was the last song added to the CD and would not have been included if I had felt I had something better from the half dozen tunes I had to choose from. Upon the CD's release and subsequent play on Internet and co...

"Through The Needle's Eye" was written and recorded in 2005 and was the Popular Vote Winner in the 2006 RiffRumble V, a worldwide online competition sponsored by Sonoma Wireworks the manufacturer of the software used in the recording. It was included in my 2007 CD "After Hours" and received quite a bit of airplay primarily on Internet Radio and college radio stations. The greatest compliment pa...
Buddy Knox - "Salt Lake City"
zhlédnutí 653Před 4 lety
As a young radio DJ I had the privilege of hanging out with legendary Rockabilly Hall of Famer Buddy Knox as he came to my house for lunch in the summer of 1969. We played guitar and talked and shared music for a couple of hours. Like many former Rockabilly stars, the most notable being Conway Twitty, he had moved to Nashville, at the urging of his old friend and noted record producer Bob Montg...
Jameson Kimbrel - " Disco!"

"Disco!" by Florida composer/producer Jameson Kimbrel breaks the tradition of jimsradiomusic which has generally featured my own music or older or forgotten songs. For the first time in the near 10 year history of the channel jimsradiomusic is featuring the debut and worldwide premier of a totally new song and video which can only be seen only on jimsradiomusic. For more of Jameson's music plea...
Jim Golden - "Life Raft"

"Life Raft" is another song from my 1981 demo sessions which were produced by John Teelin and is intended as a memorial tribute to him. He passed away March 30, 2019. The song was never intended for release. I starting writing the song while flying to Washington D.C. for a Radio & Records Conference in 1979. Upon arrival I scribbled what I had on hotel stationery and ultimately completed the tu...

zhlédnutí 195Před 5 lety
This video was originally produced only for family entertainment and amusement. It was my very first music video production. Produced in 1989 it featured my 3 year old son singing along to his favorite song and playing with his favorite toys. Recorded on a full size VHS camcorder what post-production done to the video was done while it was being dubbed to a conventional VCR. Not a thing of arti...
The Everly Brothers - "Love Her"

Another song that was completely overlooked by everyone when released in 1963 the incredibly beautiful "Love Her" was written by Hall of Fame songwriters Barry Mann & Cynthia Weil. For some reason the tune was released as the "B" side of "The Girl Sang The Blues", another Mann - Weil composition. Neither side cracked the U.S. Top 100 although both had minimal success in the U.K. The vocals by D...

Way back in 1978, growing up on a farm called SaamWerk..not too far from a small town call Warmba/Warmbaths now known as Bela Bela.. attending a mud farm school called Moheme . this song echoed through the airwaves of radio SAUK {SABC} Springbook. I use to read an Afrikaans magazine called Huisgenoot, that my grand mother bring from the Farm house of Menner Olbeerson {not too sure about the spelling}.such a nice kind hearted short man..he loved his menthol snuff. Few years ago I took my sons to see the place, to my happy surprise the house and the dam that my grand father build was still standing..I went through mixed emotions as the new owner allowed us to walk through the farm. I asked him how much will he sell the farm......"I have to rob the bank" Till now I can't stop thinking of that. Thank you Dave Loggin.....not forgetting the song 'Three Little Words".
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I loved this song !
Beautiful song Bill Anderson
They were hyped for sure. Energy abound! TY for sharing!
Quite a contrast from how this station sounded just two years earlier. Music way mellowed
Fantastic
I miss u dad❤❤❤
I worked with Jim doing Mid-Days at WBSR from 1971-73, in fact, I was 'Best Man' at Jim's wedding to his wife Porsha(sp) in 1972. I was then known as 'Scott Morgan' & moved to become Program Director/Morning Drive at WDLP in Panama City, Fla. - I lost touch with Jim in 1974 when I moved to KAAY/Little Rock (as Steve Scott) doing 8pm-11pm. - By then Jim was on-the -air in Louisville, Ky. I was doing mornings at WABB-FM in Mobile, Ala. in 1985 & both of us having moved back to the Gulf Coast, we became reacquainted & reminisced about 'The Good-Olde-Days' at WBSR.
Like if you heard this on Paramount’s Corporate S2e02: The Concert (0:07:20)
i like this video a great deal
I love the beat of this song ,!
simple but very pretty. \RIP sweet lady
❤❤ loving it
I always liked the Joe South version of this song, but those that say the arrangements of all three of Lynn Anderson's (Rose Garden, How can I unlove You and Fool Me) South tunes were absolutely more commercial. Joe South almost always arranged his tunes,(like Billy Joe Royals Down in the Boondocks) in a way that kinda skipped any kind of steady simple guitar rhythm track, I think it was the way Joe South played guitar always something other than just chords. I talked to one studio guitar player once and that is what he notice about many of Joe Souths own records, saying they may have just cut out the simple rhythm tracks so the guitar playing sounded complicated on the final records but maybe sang to the simple rhythm well recording?
“The states” from Hampton roads also did this song
Linda always did great covers of Neil Young songs. This one, Birds, I Believe in You, After the Gold Rush.....how many know Linda and James Taylor did harmony on Heart of Gold? Linda also does the back up vocals for her version here of Look Out for My Love.
Dobie fantastic singer
❤
I'am listening Nov.2023. Pat Travers is a legend, most young people don't even know who Pat is. Trust me, he is a killer !!!!!

I found the song before forward the Christmas music on the radio because I taped recorded forward.
Hey, I was there! Looked for myself in the crowd, but I guess was just so young, I didn't even recognize me. LOL Thanks, though, that was a blast from the past. If you have any more from more Springfests, please upload them! That was awesome.
At 16 I went on my first holiday without mum and dad at Butlin’s at Skegness, Ian and the Zodiacs were the resident band, they were amazing, doing all the latest covers including Beatles, great, great band.
well, you were right. one of my favorites
Anybody know of him ever doing this live??
Thank you sooo sweet of you very nice of you thank you GOD BLESS you now and forever amen.
My parent's had this record I have it now. I think Rick and Debbie were in the same religious denomination my parent's belonged too. They had a lot of records on the Majestic label, which was operated by the Church of God Of Prophecy. Still a groovy tune.
❤
Where can I get the Jimmy Stewart CD the best of. Get All excited and go tell everybody
Is Mr. Gene Cotton still around?? I fell in love with his music in my teens and it changed my life. I would so love to meet him in person. Blessings, Carlos ✝️🙏❗️😊❗️
Thanks sir. Corporations gobbling up local radio stations has been a bitter pill to swallow. I will support local stations in any way I can. There is NO substitute.
Wonderful tune & lyrics. Wish I had the whole album.
Back in the 70s I was in my room, at my parents house listening to a small town local radio station smoking a joint and blowing it out the window and this beautiful song played. They never said who it was. There was no Soundhound or Shazam to look that stuff up back then. All I rememberd was Annabella please listen. I chased this song for years, until today. I’m 64 now so it’s been a minute. I LOVE CZcams!🎉❤🙃😜😎💙🥳💛😭😳🤗🧡😱😰🤭🫣💚💝
I loved him, probably still do on some level.
Thanks for the memories! Loved WBSR 1450 AM
I absolutely love this song! I heard it back in the '80s when I was a teenager and I never knew who sang it until about 5 years ago. Thank you so much for posting this it is more than appreciated. Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎄
Do you think he's referring to Jesus?
Sure. Sort of easy pandering to anti war hippies likening them to messiahs. Still, a well structured and thought provoking song.
Ooh! Love this song! Love miss Linda Ronstadt! She half Mexican and half White like my two nephews! Okaaaaay?!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👋😊
Best version of this song imho.
I remember this song as a hit in 1966 I think Lol 👀🤔😎👽👍
I remember this song playing on the radio, but not sure what he was trying to say at the very end.
It’s a refresher course for the conservative Christians
It's obviously very tongue in cheek. It plays much better now than it did when it was released.
No means no!
"It's not the inches it's the engineer"
Love your story and video and thanks for posting the song! Gene is a family friend and an all around amazing legendary man. You can hear three of his songs including Passion Through in our documentary about Jim Varney and Ernest linked below. m.czcams.com/video/05htV4farRw/video.html
