3:19 I remember that dormitory building well (including Hendricks below it). I spent four years of my life at PLNU during the mid to late '70s. My sister and brother also went to PLNU - and my parents met each other and attended Pasadena College. Looking back, I wish I had gone to college elsewhere - for it was largely a complete waste of time and money.

As I see the stories about Dr. Brower I believe many of us, as well as myself, have many similarities to his story as a result of Christian Higher Education, namely Pasadena College and Point Loma Nazarene University. May all who go after us find us faithful as he has been.

Be careful with the glass coffee pots. Some dorms won’t allow glass pots like that. Check first. That’s why so many people do Keurig.

I was at Young Hall (1994) 3rd Floor, 3rd Pillar. I want to say P3 but can't recall. If you count 6 windows, 3rd Floor, I was top bunk looking out that top window. I also remember coming back drunk from downtown and nobody had their keys. I opened the window on that bottom 1st floor, far right. It was the girls' floor, and I entered their room, through the open screen. I then ran up to the main floor, with girls screaming, "Intruder!". I unlocked the main floor door (for my friends) and ran up to the 3rd Floor to P section. Unlocked my door and pretended to sleep. My friends saying the next morning it was the craziest thing they had ever seen. To say the least I had 100 amazing memories at Young Hall, from 1993 to 1994. Even more amazing when I joined the Navy and was stationed on the other side of that fence you see.

Wow! When I was there the weight room was tiny with rusty plates and minimal equipment. Other than myself, only a couple other students ever worked out there; I use to lift barefoot and no shirt. Ah, those were the days. Enjoy students! Study hard but always remember the most important thing you can do is build relationships! That's what will stay with you. Careers come and go. You'll likely even change fields completely. But the relationships you build at Pt. Loma will last forever (hopefully, assuming everyone is in Christ;). If you're introverted, say yes to any invitation. Join clubs, get involved. If extraverted, plan events and organize clubs...and get those introverts involved!
