The colors remind me of my high school back in the High Desert.... and you have a bulldog, which was our mascot. Go Bulldogs!!! I know thi is two years too late, but congratulations. Looks awesome.

Nice jacket. This makes me want to buy a letterman now that I can afford it even though I graduated from high school back in 2017, but I probably won't because I would look silly wearing it now lol.

never managed to afford a varsity jacket. Not that I had any reason to buy one other than fashion, here in Italy it's not a tradition and I didn't really practice any sport (I was good at football in school but hey, it's mandatory, after some heating up you play football, that's what gym class is all about. That and sneaking out to smoke. I managed to do both at the same time and not get caught. My excuse was "sudden stomach ache"). Now that I'm out of school I finally managed to buy a 32€ one, it has faux leather sleeves but it has to do till I can afford one with real leather sleeves. Given that I studied at a vocational school and got various qualifications to do various stuff I'm just gonna sew on my old school's name, my nickname (they used to call me Peaky. I wore a flat cap in winter and Peaky Blinders was still full hype, so go figure where it comes from) and if I can find them some patches (I gotta find mainly one with a wrench, one with a 1950s car and one with a water drop, as there I learned how to work on various machinery, repair cars and also had to deal with water heaters on my final year) If I can do that in a short term it'll be bonkers at the White Night (imagine a prom, but it's at an all-boys school and instead of dancing the students drink, smoke some magic potions and work on lathes to show outside guests "how the school forms the students to the world of work", mostly in that specific order. In my last year I was appointed chief of Order Service, needless to say I asked money to let them go smoke, sent a guy to fetch me a bottle of champagne and after getting drunk devouring as many stuff from the buffet as I could get my hands on. Man that was one funny way to bail out)
Oh my goodness I love your story!!! I've been so busy this past few years. My husband passed about a year and a half ago and I just got my bearings together to sell our second house. It's been extremely hard. Wow Italy - such a whole way of life. My granddaughter wants to go visit there!
@@lisasauer8123 damn, sorry to hear about all that, must've been though times (I can kinda relate, I had to grow up without a father since my 10 and it took me 11 years to get through it). But it's good to know that at least you managed to get through it, wish you the best from now on. A little tourism tip, if your granddaughter winds up around Rome a good place to visit is the castelli romani area, it's a bunch of old pre-roman towns on top of the hills that surround Rome. There's not much of the big city movement, but they're good places if you wanna visit historical villages without all the hustling and bustling of tourists

How do you earn one??
You can go and buy a jacket and put any patches you want on it. For athletes you usually get a "letter" for completing in your varsity sport. Then you add on from there.

I’ll make one that symbolizes both. I did track in high school and presented at a professional conference during my college career.
