Any suggestions on how do i tone down the orangeness /warmth from my wine/purple and darkest brown without bleach hair color on my number 4 black brown hair?

Ima dye my hair teal im a brunette ima go to the salon ik there gonna bleach it then but the dye but ima get purple shampoo and or conditioner since ik teal fades fast will the purple shampoo even work

A tip for people with really long hair like me and this lady, after brushing it whack some more bobbles, hair toes down the ponytail, 10-15, 4-6 inches apart down the length. It’s not going to frizz in the heat, retangle etc. Even if you haven’t got through getting out all the knots, do that so it won’t develop more knots. I have chronic pain and some days doing my hair isn’t an option. It might be a few hours later I do it, but if I’m feeling really crap I can leave it a day no problem. You don’t need to wash it every day either. When you do wash it, only scrub at the roots with your fingers, then smooth the shampoo down the length. Then put in some conditioner, if you can’t be arsed to do it put the shampoo & conditioner on together. I couldn’t have my hair short because I would have to style it…not my thing! I hate having it wet to air dry and I hate hair drying it too 😂 I just saw a hair thing with a fringe, to do every day! Ten minutes, with my in hair dressing hands be 40 minutes a day? Not a chance, I know my limits, making jewellery, easy, baking easy, hair..nope!

Um purple shampoo is gonna do much to brown hair because it's not on the opposite side of the color wheel. The only reason why it works on blonde is yellow and purple are completely opposite on the color wheel which means when purple and yellow are mixed it neutralizes each other out. For instance if you dye your hair blue you'll want to apply orange dye first if you wanted to dye it to another color

It's not about whether the shampoo is violet or blue for either one of the samples. Violet shampoos are generally quite florescent (low concentration of pigments) because they are for very light blonde shades that wash out easily and need slight refreshing only. Medium to dark blonde and brunette require a higher concentration of pigments. Try mixing temporary or no-developer semi-permanent colours with your own shampoo and conditioner to the proper concentration. That will work far better on anything darker than Level 9.

Its just heat damage. With keratin, it's so common because the flat iron stage is way too hot for most peoples hair. Theyre supposed to go over the hair 7-10 times at 420F and its too hot. Its very common for this to cause heat damage. Really confused how a hair stylist doesnt know that..

I was in a coma/ bed bound for a while. My hair was so long and healthy the matting and knotting was crazy in the space of say for months toon me a while to sort when i could use my arms, the relief after was undiscribable, its so lovely you help people with their hair honestly amazing ❤
