I like your thinking on choosing a decent hotel. Even though I am always stung with a single supplement, I go to decent hotels, that do look better than my room at home and it makes a massive difference. I am not a young solo traveller anymore, and I wanted your opinion on evening wear. I used to dress up or make a good effort going out for meals (Cyprus, Portugal etc), and I have a couple of lovely dresses and I am somehow feeling conscious that I shouldn't wear them as a woman alone anymore. They are midi but strappy lol, what a middle age dilemma I am in - but there will be no heels.
