My favorite Casio is the 56QS which I got for Christmas back in 1983. I still have a couple of these and I wear them often.

The IT issues are boring and tedious; fix them or change the format. I have been listening to and enjoying the podcast for quite a while. Please address this minor issue, so that you can refocus on the quality content that you ate known for 👍.

The current Genbi Valley is a revisit to a 2021 release in three different shades of green limited to 140 each. Using the 9S64 manual wind movement and the Kirazuri inspired dial texture. This color way is specifically reminiscent of the SBGW273, of which I currently own.

It seems to me that some of the comments in the video on the Grand Seiko are a bit unfair. Yes it is too expensive but saying that you don't see the difference with the ones at 6k is completely ignoring the movement. You will have a very hard time finding another movement more beautiful at this price and the one in 6k watches of the brand is nowhere close. When you see it in person it's like night and day.

Most people buys the watches for the tritium, which degrades over time. I had to change my tritium gun sights on my sig last year which was easy. Imagine sending your watch back to the luminous factory to get all the tubes replaced? Ouch!! My 30 times serves me well.

No one will say it, but this is a Submariner killer for half the price! The real case measurement is 40.4mm. The 39.5 mm measurement is the bezel, so it wears just like a typical Rolex. It is the correct size for a watch without saying "Look at me! Look at me!" I have an 8" wrist and it looks fabulous on me. The difference? Rolex has stagnated. This watch has incredible color, liquid metal bezel, spectacular movement, 600m water resistance, and a bracelet that makes it a pleasure to wear. If you want to differentiate yourself from every bitcoin bro who bought a Rolex over the last three years, this is your watch. That's why I bought one. No regrets!

I have one of these. The thickness is a bit of an issue. Slides easily under loose fitting sleeves but that's about it. It will never disappear under a shirt cuff. No Omega bracelet adjusts small enough to fit my 6 and a half inch wrist, though. And it's damn heavy. The dial, however, is a work of art. Flips easily from grey to bright blue with the slightest movement of the wrist. Would have preferred a display case back, though.

The Panerai would have been totally worth it, if only it had a tie in with a car manufacturer. Tesla seems like the obvious choice -- just add a quick release spring bar to the bottom strap and a docking port in the car's dash. Whenever the car needs a quick battery top off, simply flick a lever on the watch (Panerai has lots of experience with levers.) and listen to the tiny generator whirl as the batteries are charged. Of course, the real money would have come from federal subsidies paid by eco-conscious governments worldwide. Think of the money they'd give away for a bio-fueled, renewable, electric car charger.

hear me out. I'm here because I wanted to do some research on this watch, looked kinda interesting. my conclusion $1300CAD for a quartz watch with less features than a $100 Fitbit is kinda wild IMO. Do I like the watch? YES Cool factor: 6.5/10 practicality: 3/10 Would I spend $1300CAD on it? fuck no lol buy a Fitbit or something similar and wear it on opposite wrist, save a bunch of money. I love the idea of this watch, but it's just not there yet unfortunately. yayaya iTs NoT a SmArT wAtCh. at 44mm and 14mm thick im not going to wear a tank on my wrist that does 1 thing different than what's already in my pocket and thats heart rate tracking. this lacks software, the sensor is already there.

Price 7-8 k , but since it’s genta now it’s 14k. It makes sense from a collector snob pov but as an average watch enjoyer it’s disheartening. There’s a tax on it simply becuase it’s genta design.

SQUALE: Poor quality - awful customer service Hey fellow watch enthusiasts. I’m a collector since more than two decades. In all honesty: Dealing with Squale has been the worst experience of my journey. Here’s my story: I purchased a Squale 1521 Blue Blasted leather straight from their website. Right after unpacking I put it on - just to find out that the watch doesn’t work. Broken right out of the box. So I went to their website to find out how to get in touch with customer service (good luck with that) and to clarify their procedures. It took them a full week even to get back to me. And then a process started, that I can frankly only call some form of BS-bingo from Squales side. Frustrating from the beginning to the end. At the end of the day I sent the watch back on my expenses and it took Squale another two weeks to refund me. In a nutshell: 1000ish plus taxes for a mechanical Swiss watch from a brand with heritage might not be a steal but a deal to consider. However, 1200 bucks in total for a watch that doesn’t work and weeks of pure frustration due to “customer service” that I perceived as ignorant, sloppy and slow is what I call an absolute no go. It fact I am so fed up with Squale, that it motivated me to write this comment and to share my experience. Please decide for yourself, if what I described is what you are willing to put up with.
