@ankellord22. For the Front brakes, you can use the same clips..their very strong. For the rear brakes, they come with new clips that are not as strong..so you just have to change the rear brake clips. Reuse the Fronts

No you can buy the part online for $20-$30, I only disconnect mine because it’s a lease and I didn’t feel like waiting at the dealership 4 hours for them to change it. I disconnect the actuator wire so the fuel door doesn’t lock which I don’t mine. The noise is gone.

Dont go to stealership and replaced it unless is under warranty. I have same car and same problem. I bought a new part just connected. Easy. The dealer was gonna charge me $160 just for the labor. It took me about 10 min.

Yes it dyes leaves, rocks, dirt, grass, weeds. Everything you spray so be careful not to get it on anything you don’t want black. As far as the leaves and grass it willdye them but once they blow away the spot that is not dyed will show and you will have to reapply. Best is to use two applications but remove grass leaves and weeds before applying because they will show spots once they blow away or once the grass grows.

@JerrellHardison The width1/2 inch smaller and the diameter 2 inches smaller the car didn’t have the same handling. With the smaller tire and rim set up the feel of the car was a much softer ride but not the same planted driving feel. The positive was the extreme grip from the Blizzak tires!! Even with the car handling not the same way it was, the grip was so good that it mad up for it. Brand new the tires are great they handle amazing and you drive with confidence in the rain and snow but after about 15,000 miles and driving them hard they wear out very fast.

The clips are kind of hard to remove from the fuel door trim but once you get that removed, changing it or just disconnect the wire is easy. Noise gone🙏

@ Andy Redick No problem LOL yeah it sounds like that and it’s embarrassing to hear that every time you unlock the car. I just disconnected the wire and tapped it off for now. It’s a lease and I don’t want to wait at the dealership 3-4 hrs for them to replace it so my fuel door will just be without a lock. Still closes and opens 💯

The inner pad has a clip mounted on it for a secure connection to the caliper. You just need a flat head screwdriver to take it off. The outer pad has adhesive tape on it. It doesn’t come off clean, you need a thin flat head screwdriver 🪛 to pry it off the caliper. Then use a brush and brake cleaner to prep the surface for the new pad which comes with adhesive tape pre installed on it for a secure connection to the caliper.

@@MJ0781 Thank you. I searched around but didn’t see any detailed information on it. Last time I just wanted to lubricate the backside of these pads! Based on your description they are quite securely mounted on the caliper so there’s no need to lubricate. I’ll skip it.

@@bikingmoments Your welcome. For the rear brakes, there’s no need to have the car put in service mode to bypass the electronic parking brake. I changed to rears by removing the 2 Allen bolts mounting the electronic brake module. I put the rears off for a while until learning this. In case your considering replacing the rear brakes, it can be done ☑️
