Hello history loving comrade! I'm Julia (I'm also trans!(: I used to serve in the U.S Navy from 2014-2017; until I was honorably and medically discharge. I was a Maschinist Mate 3rd Class Petty Officer in the engineering department on cool warships! Hooyah Snipes!

My US Navy Experience - Navy Boot Camp Part 5: Battlestations and Graduation Week!
I hope you enjoyed hearing about my experiences, it was a lot of fun doing this story time, of my time at boot camp! Now that the boot camp storytime are complete(Ugh...finally lol), I'll be next talking about my time living on the Naval Rate training base thats located next to the recruit training base, this will be about the time when I went to Engineering school (BECC) and then to the Maschinist Mate "A" School!
I dont talk too much about what happens, but more about what I experienced and saw!

Uniform Look in Detail: WW2 French Army Maginot Line Soldier

This is a mix of a Maginot Line artillerymen and Maginot infantrymen. I found this bag with the eye pieces in a abandoned house
I came across your video while searching for M43 miltary boots and I just wanted to tell you that if that dye doesn't hold since I don't know of that brand that some good brands are SAPHIR and FIEBINGS leather dye that comes with a little cotton dabber and is alot easier and faster if that ever washes out or fades. But not bad looking boots by the way since it looks like a very tough leather for sure.

How slippy are hob nails? I've thinking of getting some WW2 marching boots by FAB for dog walking, to replace wellies, but I'm kinda concerned about grip.
Ive got a pair of British ammo boots made by SMWholesale that were made for the movie Dunkirk. They’re my main pair of hiking boots and I’ve put almost 100 miles on them. The only surface I’ve ever slipped on is polished tile flooring like they have in shopping malls. On every other surface especially muddy slippery surfaces and rocky unpaved surfaces hob nail boots are better than rubber soled boots hands down in my opinion. Extremely durable boots, highly recommend.

Id say go for the search words "WW2/II French ANP T-31 Gas Mask" In French translations on google once a week. Thats how I found mine after a few months that wasnt sold out. Although there is one for sale but without the gas mask hose at Pinoncollections (dot.) com still for about 80 euros under the sections of "militaria/hunting", "WWII" then "French Army" subsection on its 4th page you should find it there! (note the website is in french but i go it translated!) I got mine from a d day paratrooper museum in France, forgot the name but it was a single unique item!

Hatte auch Mal ein verosteten Stahlhelm der Wehrmacht gefunden! Bei uns 5 km weiter würde viel gekämpft während des 2 WK! Da Berlin und die polnische Grenze liegt! Gruß aus Brandenburg 🇩🇪 Udo

Ja ich hab mal gedacht mindestens fur die videos bei festungen, bunkern, und schlachtfeldern ubersitzung untertitle auf Deutsch machen konnen wen ich gehe zu diese orte! Ich wird auch mal deutsche wörter sagen wie statt "machine gun" wird ich sagen "maschinengewehr" oder "mitrailleuse" in französisch.

Stop. Just stop. If...(and this is a huge if) you were ever in the navy you remember all of what you went through. Stop trying to be something you are clearly not.
Okay, hold up. I went through MEPS back in Summer of 2013. That was about 8 years ago. I shipped out to boot camp in March 3, 2014, and was medically retired in September 27th, 2017. Went through engineering school (BECC) for 2 months right after graduating boot camp and Maschinist Mate "A" School for 10 days until i went to my first command that was in a mid life overhaul at the shipyard, in drydock, when i arrived. Served on the USS Carter Hall (LSD-50) Attached to Little Creek Expeditionary Base next to Norfolk Naval Base, Virginia, working in the A-gang I.C.E shop. I also went on my first underway that was a week long in February 2015 onboard the USS Arlington (LPD-24) to get some on hands training with their AC systems and hydraulic rear gate for amphibious operations. I also volunteered myself to go as a billet filler onboard the USS Whirlwind (PC-11) for 90 days from very end september to end of December 2015, the ship is stationed in Bahrain Naval Station still to this day. Received my NAM there for helping with an engine repair at Fujairah, UAE while we were in transit in the Strait of Hormuz in December of 2015. And later assigned to ACU 4 in Little Creek working on the LCACs from June 2016 until I seperated from the Navy. Sooo, uhm sorry i dont remember my recruiter and MEPS too clearly. You should check out the other storytime videos too (and much more will come). Pretty hard to making it all up, including pictures, my NAM award, ballcaps, and my DD214...

Sorry for such a late reply. The white cotton shirt is from a US Civil War online store in Germany, The WW1 German enlisted army used very similiar looking ones and WW2 german Officers also a bit similiar but not as much as the WW1 German ones. I just didnt want to buy 3 different cotton shirts that are almost the same lol.
