This is an acoustic cover of "Goodbye" by "Steve Earle", from the Album "Train a comin" it's a little tricky at the start but once you get the groove it's really nice to play, this guitar tab is close enough I think www.heartwoodguitar.com/chords/steve-earle-goodbye/
Hi. Just getting started on this. Thanks so much for the video, it's just what I'm looking for. You're right, there really isn't a lot of how to out there on this song. Beautiful! Thanks again. :)
Thank you for this. And you have an excellent singing voice. Subscribed.
Great review, but the guitar sounds pretty poor. You can hardly hear the low E string and it's sound is like a baked bean tin.
In addition...It looks like you are playing a D18. if so what year?
amazing cover and lesson! You gained a new subscriber. Thank you!
I very much appreciate this video. It took me 9 years to find it. Ha Good job. Because of your details I am now able to play this song for my friends.
Great job! Very detailed informative review and demo. I just got the same model and love it. Just wish I had your talent for playing it but it is somewhat forgiving to allow even a longtime beginner like me sound ok. Thank you for posting this video.
Thanks. No one bothers to show John Prine picking techniques.
Simple great! Thanks
Oh men..really great job..love it all the way..yes that was close , good and lovely..liked and subbed ..cheers from Iraq. Mostafa
Tank you man
I just got a Gretsch Jim Dandy dreadnought, I'm going to use it to just play blues on, i really like this guitar and you cant beat the price, thanks for the video 👍.
Thank you for this. Very helpful.
this is a song that means very much to me. i’ve never seen someone explain it as simple as you have in this video, thanks for that. my gratitude goes beyond this comment, my mother and i used to clean the apartment on Sundays to this album. i’m gonna play it for her, thank you again
Thank you for this!!! It’s absolutely wonderful. I used to play this in C with no capo. This sounds so much more authentic and in his vocal key. Also, your guitar is beautiful. What model please ?🙏 Thank you !!
Hi there can you point me to a hard case which this will fit in? Had the guitar for a while but can’t find a case at all. Thanks for any help anyone!!
Thank you so much for sharing this. It's an excellent tutorial.
Thanks Neil!
Bought one 2nd hand today. I am a beginner. My friend has one and I heard him play. I fell in love with the sound.

This was one of the best tutorials on you tube that I have ever seen, for me personally. I have been trying to learn guitar for about 4 years now and if I can't learn this song from how you taught it, I may as well sell the guitar. Great job!
Nicely explained. This will be the first finger picking song that I have completed. Mahalo,

Nicely done, Neil! You actually sound American...lol
