My family had Black Angus for many years on our farm. The bulls were good on-site for our Holstein herd as well as, later on, for for producing purebred Black Angus for the meat market. Sadly, after grandpa passed away, nobody else wanted to take over the (admittedly very small) farm.

Two years ago I bought speckle heifers off a breeders and they are doing well and due to start calving..I really like them as a breed they are a pleasure to farm and can't wait to see the calves soon.

Mine is a terrier Anatolian mix. Looks like one, but smaller. Her behavior gave it away. Fits perfectly your characterization. Not as active as before an chunkier. She's twelve. Love her so much.
