I agree, I like how she explored and questioned the deadlines we give ourselves. I also like how she touched on fear. I was multi-tasking while watching that video, so I need to rewatch it to remember more of what she said. I'm glad her video helped you feel not alone too. That's great you see yourself writing more words when you don't focus on the word count or give yourself a more manageable word count goal! Also, Katie Wismer posted a video yesterday about how she was struggling with re-editing her book and feeling a lot of pressure. But, she was glad when she sent it to her editor so it could be off her mind. It's nice to hear we're not alone with the pressure and hard days sometimes. Just wanted to let you know if you wanted to check out that video too. The part where you say, "celebrate all the wins" is the constant reminder I need. I always forget this step and sometimes that saddens me more. Aww you got this! If I find the book my mom got me for screenwriting helpful; or if I find other resources, I'll share it in a video. Or I'll reach out to you so you can know where to look for that boost.Haha that's good to know. For me, when the idea is so pressing. I just have to get it out, regardless if it's in the correct format yet or not. I want to have explored my idea as best as I can before starting the editing process. But, I get you. Some styles or writing choices aren't for everyone. I'm the type of person that doesn't go by word count. Other writers do. So, it's important we know ourselves and what we need to write and explore our scenes and characters. Other people's ways of doing things don't always work for us. I also was inspired to talk about my lows because of Sarah Mae Sutton's recent release video where she was down about not really being able to celebrate her release with someone. That's an honest feeling to have even on what is "supposed to be" an exciting day. But I appreciate your kind words, motivation, and you watching my journey. Thank you :)

Exactly. I think that's what I'm going to do the rest of the week. I'm going to write the script or whatever calls me more and not put pressure on a specific thing I should write. I'm still trying to find those writers too, but from the top of my head checking out Abbie Emmons, Diane Mariee, maybe Kris KM Fajardo, Inspired to Write, anartisttravels (she hasn't posted in a while but I liked her older videos about her being an actress, plus a writer who I think was working on a contemporary work), and I don't remember what genre - sincerely, vee - writes in, but you could check her out too. I hope these are helpful. Definitely keep me posted if you find any other contemporary fiction authortubers.

@@storiesbydesirae I've heard of some of the people you mentioned. I'll check out the new names I see. Thank you! By the way, anartisttravels has a new channel. It's called artist archives. That's where she shares updates about her acting and writing (including her memoir, which I think is the project you're referring to). She hasn't posted a new update on her memoir in a while....but you can checkout her previous videos to catch up! I believe she's in the editing stage of her memoir now. Also, don't know if you've heard of her, but Love Qualified writes Christian contemporary fiction romance. While I'm not into romance... she's really transparent about her writing journey and sharing helpful tips for others (which I find to be helpful). Another contemporary fiction writer is M.L. Bull. She also has another channel called Journey of a Christian Writer series.

I'm glad you know her channel, though :) I will definitely check out the other channel. (a heads up on Abbie Emmons she has a lot of videos about the writing process, but I tend to only watch her videos about her books. I first discovered her when she was getting ready to release her 100 Days of Summer book)

@@storiesbydesirae Yeah, I make an exception for Love Qualified because her writing videos are really informative. Abbie Simmons has a lot of informative videos too about how to write. I watch those videos sometimes from her, but like you said, I try to watch the videos about her writing projects. I personally like seeing and hearing about a writer's journey with their creative projects.

Yes, I agree about it leading to stress and other serious health problems. It's important for us to acknowledge these issues as a society, but also within ourselves as they arise so we can work through it. I'm glad you were able to see this video because I wanted to reply to your comment to let you know I finally posted the video, but it wouldn't let me find my community post on my phone. But I appreciate you watching all the way through :) that's so true that I could be helping others as they read my book. Hahaha nice to know I'm not alone. Yeah, everytime I take food out I use a cloth or oven mitt too. Thankfully, I am okay. Haha I feel that. Yeah, I definitely explore my feelings more in writing or poetry to articulate. But yeah, it's something about observing that helps me take in more or get a feel of people. Exactly. Yeah, I use what I have around me. Most of the time my phone leans on my computer while it's open when I'm recording in the office. My boyfriend and I did get a tripod and I sometimes use it, but for some heights, what's around me is easier. Haha Thank you :) your comment made my night and made me smile!!

Thank you, Estelle! So far I only posted a little bit on Instagram and haven't delved into it more. I do have youtube video ideas to post. I just have to get around to it. I've written a list of marketing ideas, but haven't done much of any yet. It's a work in progress, but I have a goal for March, if not by the end of this month
