Dinner Made Easy with Dena

I learned how to cook from my dad mostly who was from North Carolina, and was later fortunate enough to co-own a very successful mom and pops cafe, called The Short Stop Cafe in Clackamas, Oregon, We made almost everything we served from scratch. I am sharing some of those recipes here along with some good old southern recipes, and a few new ones.

Wow so mamy great tips Ron and I always debate the best way to peel the eggs he swears by putting the eggs in ice cubes and water for a while i dont know i agree when hot! Everyone adds different ingredients my mother in law loves adding black olives we donlike celery but love adding onions and green onions we also love dill !! Never thoight of adding half and half greta tip yes we love spicing up the top!! Great video u made me want to barbeque! 😊
@@justramblinaround Thank you Jody! Everyone has there own spin, my husband doesn’t like celery either, it’s surprising how many people do, and adding the half and half or milk to the may makes it so creamy and keeps me from mixing in too much may.
We love guacamole and make it often never thought of adding sour cream or horshweier (?) Sauce but I like them both may need to try. Thx for sharing!

Oh my goodness you have found your calling! You are so good at this it's informative and the conversation you have during the making is really nice and times goes by and you really do have such a pleasant voice to listen to. I have never made homemade chicken noodle u made it easy. Great idea for using left over meat loaf that looked so yummy and yes you usually make potatoes with meat loaf so use the potatoes for potato soup excellent! I will make these one day tonight lentils are on the menu. Fantastic video well done!! ❤

At the beginning of the video you put the tater tots in the dish. Then after preparing the ground beef mixture you spray the EMPTY dish with butter spray & then show the tater tots in the dish. Then you layer it & bake. I'm only pointing this out so people will know the correct way to make the recipe.
