Flying the Drone at Sandsend and lost connection to the controller which was quite scary but the Return to home activated so it all ended ok.

The cinder track is an old-disused Railway line that ran into Whitby many years ago and is now used by walkers and cyclists,it is a great place to visit and carries right on down to robin hoods bay and Scarborough, also in the video is a short clip of Northcliffe holiday park Whitby marina and Sandsend. Spectacular footage. That pock-marked marshland to the west was home to thousands of navvies when they constructed the viaduct in the 1870s.

Coming down from Hawes on the way home after a great holiday in Scotland & Yorkshire & to see this at about the same time as this was videoed was just something else as I have also took the train journey .. so I like the video very much..

What a treat to see the Abbey from above. I grew up near there and have lost count of the times I have been there. Many many years ago you had access to more of the abbey than these days. Nice one.
