Upgrading My DIY SIM RIG!
zhlédnutí 152Před 2 lety
I built This Rig about 3 or 4 years ago out of some scrap metal I had laying around. I equipt it with my trusty t300. Now that I have fully upgraded to Fanatec gear, it's time for a bit of facelift and some new features. Enjoy the video

So I was spending so much time trying to come up with a cool new video that I got bored and forgot about the channel up until work the other day when I had the idea of making short five-minute videos after wanting to organize my truck bed even more. So here is the first one, enjoy!
Milwaukee Packout Meets BedSlide
zhlédnutí 103KPřed 3 lety
I've been trying to get more organized with my tools for work. I'm short and it's always a pain reaching over my truck or climbing into the back to dig out the right toolbox. This is my solution. I'm not sponsored by any of these companies, just a huge fan
I had the same idea with the rivnuts but I didn’t know how secure it would be since the deck is some weird composite material.
I'm having trouble getting my bedslide to slide into the rail it will lock in the back position Any advice? I have a 2021 Tacoma
Amazing :)
Does the rolling box fit in the bed normally without the slider?
Love it bud , I feel your pain . I will do the same setup
Link to fasteners you found for mounting?
Were you having trouble with the boxes sliding around all over before you mounted them?
Sub's for ASMR
Wow, "let's seize the carp" just killed me. I laughed way too hard at that
Very nice rig and well done vid ! keep up the good work !
Good stuff! Just bought my first wheel and pedals, and can’t wait to make an actual sim rig. Company I work for uses a lot of 8020 aluminum extrusion, so might use some of the excess
Nice what did you get?
@@workingawry3483 Got a T150 thrustmaster, T3PA pedals, and TH8A shifter. Beginner setup but it does the job
@@brettfisher292 nice thats a great place to start!
Man you just answered all my questions in one vid. Can I use milwaukee tool boxes on a bedslide with a bed cover. A yes sir
What size quick latches did you use?
What kind of 12v drill is that? I have a 12v set from milwaukee, but doesn't look like that.
Its the Milwaukee M12 FUEL 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 4-in-1 Installation 3/8 in. Drill Driver Kit with 4-Tool Heads and with the m12 6.0 witch is a must transforms the gun.
You need the packout vacuum
Hey just saw your video. It’s great. That’s exactly what I’m looking to do to my Chevy.
Sick
Clean that yard not tha truck amigo ??? Everybody follow me if u agree
so cool dude!
genius...
Sic beat!
Wow great video man!! Great minds , I literally just found out about bedslide and will be getting one and the only problem I foresaw was that my bottom tool box handle would be too high . I see you solved that also!! 😎
I was thinking about this!!! Good stuff! There are lower profile metal packout bolt ons btw.
I was wondering that also
I put a cargo glide in the back of my service truck and love it!
Personally I would prefer the way before the mod, you could put them any way you like.
sounds like Van Neistat
the way you attached them is a great idea ty
I also had this very idea before I got lazy. I was actually considering dividing the bed slide or custom platform into 2 sides and face the front of the packouts to each other. That way you pick which side to slide while you still being behind the truck and out of the way in tight spaces. Gonna be a little tougher to do this on a '90 4Runner.
I need a riv nut gun though lol
You only mounted two? Why not more? And how do you carry the box on wheels bc it's tall? I'm looking to buy a tacoma and had the same idea as you just did. But that's my only question how to deal with the roller box from Milwaukee cause I need it to transport tools
Pack-out so helped organize my work. I also found a maker of mounts that convert your old organizers to fit the Pack-out system.
Milwaukee missed an opportunity to make the packout system able to be locked, without need for weak cables or exposed shackle padlocks. I tried to contact Milwaukee, to see if they had a contact to discuss opportunities. They do not. If a new product is needed, it would have been done. THANKS MILWAUKEE.... missed the chance to embed the BOLT LOCK System within the PAckout modules. As it is, you can not secure your tools within a van or to bed of truck. The padlock holes are not sufficient, and if you use padlocks, it is annoying. BOLT allows accessories to use your van or pickup ignition key. They are extremely pick resistant sidebar design, and weatherproof. SOME Knapheide, A.R.E. and other companies already have the BOLT system, but they do not tell you which items have it... you just find out if you got wowed or skunked AFTER you buy the very expensive truck body or topper. Milwaukee..... check out the Strattec BOLT system.
I was quite entertained. I enjoy your style and hope you keep it up.
This should be. Milwaukee commercial w how much of the product you own, good video!
I am watching this by myself, cleaning my basement surrounded by Packout that needs to live up to it’s potential and I found myself clapping out loud at the end. I don’t even care who knows it. Great video. Dig the music. Props for enlisting the help of da’ yout’ (the youth). Gotta look into that Riv Nut Gun thingy. As Clint at Tool Review Zone would say, “That looks Real naas-like!”
REAL nasss like
Love the old red box there on the driver's side
Now a trip to the supply house to pick up stock 🤔
Good job
Looks like it will work great. I like the idea, but it would not work in my situation as I have a 5th wheel hitch in my bed at all times. Darn it!
Happy father's day from 6/20/21
Awesome!
I love it when a plan comes together
That Simrig-Project sounds very promising :)
Very nice mr packouts are the way as a joiner myself l think they are great as with the Milwaukee tools l like that rivet with a thread in it l will have to see we have them here in the uk great job stay safe 👏👏👍
Thanks for sharing! Need to do this to my work truck ASAP! Loading and unloading boxes to get to stuff gets old fast
