My typical bike ride loop in Ottawa, Canada
During the week in the summer I often go for an hour and a half rides from my house in Mooney's Bay down to Sussex Drive then up to Rideau Center and down the canal past Dow's Lake to Carleton U then back to Mooney's Bay. It's a lovely ride with tons of water, geese and various visual delicasies.

My buddy down the street lent me this amp for a week and I have to say it sounds fantastic. Definitely one of the finest clean amps I've ever played. It eats pedals for breakfast and makes your guitar sound amazing....it really seemed to love my Eric Johnson signature strat. Later on in the video I do a quick comparison with my 1973 Super Reverb. Really great amp, I am super impressed.

I can honestly say I'm getting the best strat tones I've ever gotten in my life with this exact combo: Metro DVL-1, EJ Strat and classic Ibanez TS-808 Pro tubescreamer. Just killer tones, super inspiring! I have to rate my Metro DVL-1 as the best amp I've ever owned (I'm currently on amp #154). The cab is a Bogner Custom Shop with V30's. Really well broken in V30's I may add.

Man I was hungover for this video. Traded my tele-hackster for this. Sadly, the Bigsby is f ked and needs to be replaced but otherwise it's a cool guitar. Love the colour. I'm plugged into my Kemper Stage via SPDIF. The profile is a Deluxe Reverb from RCKincaid on the Rig Exchange.

Can a guitar that costs around $250 USD used sound good? Watch this video and tell me what you think. I think this guitar is pretty bad ass at this price and plays very well. Frets out a bit here and there but it probably needs a proper setup. Stock P90 pickups. The Fender is from 1973 with original speakers.

Title says it all. Getting ready for my biking trip in Colorado this summer (after I go see Joe Bonamassa on my actual Birthday which is August 4 at Red Rocks Amphitheater, totally stoked!). I used to live near the Gatineau Park in Chelsea, QC for about 10 years then my divorce happened and I lost my house. Yeah that sucked bad but life is good now :-)

So, I finally brought all 3 of my 100 watt heads to a jam space so I could hear them in a larger room to see what they could do. Obviously, even in a larger room these 3 amps were capable of blowing the windows out so I still kept the volumes manageable but louder than what I could do at home. I think so but don't expect wild partying at night it's not that type of resort but people do have a few drinks, sing kareoke etc.

Just ordered my IronMan II yesterday and exited to hear it with my 79’ JMP 100 watt. Also picked up a used maxon OD808 locally and that sounds super good through the JMP. Theres just a magic in these old Marshalls that’s very satisfying.
please let me know how you like it. I think it's the BEST sounding attenuator out there for Marshall amps!
Ok….its officially amazing!!!! Between the JMP, the TK Iron Man II, the OD pedal, and the guitar (a cheapy Jackson with a bare knuckle HD neck and a Bill and Becky Lawrence X500XL bridge….will try my R8, and R9 through it tomorrow), there are so many tonal options and sounds and they all sound amazing. This was a great purchase! And I had $200 of GC bucks I got to use towards the purchase 👏🏽.

Killer. Got this amp showing up in a few days and couldn't be more stoked. Love my fenders, but this seems like the beast I've been hunting. Dual Tone available locally, but wanted the reverb and master. But....my ears been getting used to my five watt wonder. Hopefully the master tames er down,,, but if not,, life's short. Sounds great, man.

I would have been Happy after buying any one of those amps.......They all sound great, but from what I have heard about the Metro they are built with meticulous attention to detail and maybe the Freidman as well, the Marshall not so much, they cut every corner they can as evidenced by them using Vietnamese transformers in their new amps. I just bought a new Marshall and it lasted about two hours before it puked, now 20 days latter I picked it back up today from the warranty repair. Wished I would have bought a Ceriatone.
The Metro is the best amp I've ever owned and I'm on amp #156

You mention the JVM in another response. Its master is pretty good but it doesn’t leave my house. I feel that if I could open it up using the Fryette I would love it more. It’s a 205c. Thoughts?
Depends on how anal you are about power tube distortion... In my experience that value is distorted out of proportion. With non master volume amps yes it's super important aside from jcm800 that also requires some power tube magic hope this helps
@@KelsterVonShredster, I just discovered your channel and really enjoying the content. Follow up question: I have a JEL20 and a pair of 1x12s. (Bought them from Lauzon Music in Ottawa BTW). The 800 channel drew me in, but the plexi channel is fantastic. Learning a lot of new music now, digging deeper into old AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, etc- at 55, this inspiration is wonderful. So…my JVM is now in a closet and thinking of selling it. I discovered your demo of the SV20 while going down the rabbit hole of Fryette Power Station videos. Wow! Have you tried the JEL20? If I get a Fryette, are 2 plexis better than 1? Keeping the Friedman, trying to justify moving the JVM. Thanks a bunch.
The Friedmans have terrific master volume control. Do you find your DS to sound better cranked up and attenuated using the Fryette versus non-attenuated master volume at low settings?

Great video! A lot of videos are the box of rock in to a JTM45 or bassman saying “how much it sounds like a Marshall JTM”….shocker. Great work and reflective of a lot our setups with a clean amp looking for a JTM style pedal. How do feel this compares to the Love Pedal 200 lbs of Gold, which is another JTM style pedal. Checking that out and the J Rocket 45 for a Katana Bluesbreaker/Beano cover.

I got a PS100 shortly after it came out and I was kind of disappointed. Its got some really cool features but it sucked too much tone out of my amps. The Tone King is way more transparent and hands down the best attenuator that I’ve ever played. I sold the Fryette and bought an Iron Man. Couldn’t be happier.
what's funny is that people refuse to listen with their ears...i'm not saying it's not a good unit, but in terms of pure tone the IronMan is simply a better unit. Thx for your feedback!
