The way I yelled with joy at this scene!! They're so cute together and I'd been rooting for them since the first episode more or less.
What an incredibly sad scene. A man, who presumably is a virgin given that he never married, has had to resort to buying a woman a house to make her accept a wedding proposal. Carson sure did have a rough life.

I wonder if the writers wanted these two together from the start because they came together so naturally but equally i could see the story of them not being together and just running the house together. But I definitely prefer these two old codgers together! ❤️

This scene was one of, if not the best moments in all of Downton Abbey.. I was at a point in this season that I just grew tired of the Mr and Mrs Bates storyline and how it was nothing but constant bad luck and time consuming nonsense that took away the feel of the show after a while,

@@vickita2620 der rest sind leute. Menschlich sein bedeutet empathisch und sensitiv sein als auch eine emotionalle intelligenz zu besitzen, die all umfassend ist. Empathieempfinden gegenüber allen planetenbewohnern und nicht gegenüber der eigenen spezies oder ausgewählten. Als ob nur hund und katze eine seele hätten und empfinden könnten und alle anderen nicht. Das ist oberflächlich & un-empathisch, daher ist dieses handeln und die auswirkungen davon nicht menschlich.

@@vickita2620 das ist kein trick, sondern realität. Die leute leben in einer illusion. Was ist denn so menschlich an den ganzen geschehen, qual, mord, raub, Ausbeutung? Der Mensch ist eine illusion und eine lüge. Wenn die bezeichnung mensch stimmte, dann wäre es menschlicher. Und nur geringe faktoren würden als unmenschlich aufkommen. Aber es ist das gegenteil, wenn man genau hinschaut. Die position einmal wechseln, dann hat man einen anderen blickwinkel.

This is the most beautiful scene ever. I had a feeling that they are in love with each other from season 1. Those looks that they've exchanged, those little gestures. The chemistry between the characters and also between the actors is amazing, I have never seen such chemistry anywhere else.

I've studied a bit of German but I'm not confident enough to express myself in that language, so I'll use English. Anyway, I love this song. I think I understand most of the lyrics and get their general feeling. But I'd love to see a German native speaker expressing what the song is about. There may be no official answer, I know, but that's okay.
hey mate. Maybe a bit but late but I will try to answer your question. As far as i can understand it this song contains the story of a dream of two persons, maybe a couple. They would love to leave their city and their country. This song describes the perception of one of those persons how this event in the future could happen....on a warm evening :)
@@b.ki.5236 I appreciate your answer :) It’s so ironic... since my question here, so much has happened. My wife and I moved from Brazil to Canada, which I think kinda matches the lyrics of the song. (I mean, in a literal sense. I know there may be lots of symbolism to it.) Back in my home country, almost every evening was warm. Here in Canada, not so many. So the value of warm evenings has changed a lot to me. I used to take those for granted, while Canadians truly appreciate evenings like those and the possibility of being outdoors. I wanna say weather in Germany is more like in Canada than in Brazil, so I’m closer to understanding why a warm evening could be so special in the context of the song :)
