Im not really a smart guy, I’m just trying to find a casual book about astrophysics but when smart people like Albert Einstein or Neil DeGrasse Tyson say something is simple, it is definitely not simple for a dumb person like me.

For aliens to have visited faster then light travel should be possible. If that is not possible then best way to observe aliens is through more and more powerful telescopes. There is no need to space travel to mine resources or because of population growth. Advanced physics can transform and produce anykind of element for the aliens. The only aliens travelling the universe are possibly freak fringe elements of alien society who may be even criminals. Possibly the babies grown in incubators that are to be discarded escape and become the interglactic criminal enterprise. Longevity combined with faster then light travel will be used by criminal aliens. Normal law abiding aliens will be content with living on their own planet as there is no population pressure.
