Where is the Tabernacle ? Where are the Communion rails ?
Can we know how to serve with a bishop?
Where was it recorded?
This organ, built by Carl Barckhoff in 1890, was beautifully restored to original condition in 2017 by Parsons Pipe Organ Builders of Candandaigua, New York. It is heard at every weekend Mass at St. Mary's Church. For further information on the organ: www.stmaryauburn.org/music/
Concert 20:00
I am ashamed for some of you who have made nasty comments. This is about the organ and not about how the church looks or how people dress. Talk about being disrespectful!
How many keyboards dose the one up stairs have
Beautiful Mass. I love being Catholic. Its so full of wonders and Love ❤
I was told when you go to a organ concert you dressed like you go to church so I dressed in a suit
How many manuals dose the organ up stairs have
Too many speeches even though it seemed it is finale of a convention of organists: this video almost lost my attention! Please edit. 5/22/2019
Where is the tabernacle?!!!!!!
Jeez calm down, it's on the side most likely, or in a side chapel.
Welcome Father Peter
Hey tell that idiot priest with the cookie jar cap on his head to take it of his head in the house of God if it is to be the house of God.
Get those trash off your Catholic wall and out of the house of God you Catholics Baal prophet's you.
I miss you Bishop Matano, Ninth Bishop of Vermont.
im soooo glad I do not attend masses anymore. I am enjoying new life as a nazarene
1:06 Why aren't they wearing gloves? When I altar served with the bishop and I was Mitre, I had to wear gloves in order to hold the bishop's hat. (Bishop Patrick McGrath)
Potato Tha Otaku there is no need for them to wear gloves since they have that cover covering them
Prince Akwasi Boateng Oh. Maybe some churches do stuff differently?
Potato Tha Otaku actually no but normally they should well it but since they have that on them , it becomes a choice
Prince Akwasi Boateng Oh, okay
Your right they do but I think it has a some kind of white thing to hold the bishops crozier
Why is it that during the opening hymn "St. Magnus" - "The head that once was crowned with thorns is crowned with glory now" no one in the congregation sings? They just stand there and take pictures.
please father help us to pray for resist in Europe. we the black are suffering from their hand
any one there please pray for my family of Jerome ofili. God should reward the evil people according to his desire
how come only old people go to church ?
Very few young people.
Because old people are closer to death and returning to God. I am 23 but go to Mass every day. I think too many kids are focused on worldly things like partying and sex and drugs. Eventually for me I got sick of it and submit to God.
A list of what's being played would be nice.
What make organ is it? What year built? When and what firm did restoration? Important info. A stop list would be wonderful! Thanks.
You can find ALL of that information on the Organ Historical Society Database: database.organsociety.org/OrganDetails.php?OrganID=8436
I goto a baptist church and it is never that quiet XD, and the songs are much better too, so screw this church XD jk
I am Roman Catholic and I go to the spanish mass in my church. The songs there will make you dance and clap for God! Nothing like adding some Hispanic Carribean Flavor to worship God.
Exemplary music! Love the chant. The Lotti and Victoria pieces are absolutely gorgeous as well! I especially love the two organ effect, similar to St. Mary's Cathedral in Sydney, Australia. THIS is what music at Mass should sound like. BMP
What a terrible racket. Surely the organ repertoire can do better than this sub-Rheinberger noise. JSB? I must have missed the tight pants section. The church looks abysmal. Catholic? Tell that to Bishop Williamson.
The church looks fine.. The organ wind pressure is obviously to low to sustain a full organ passage,... and or there is too much borrowing
Organ wind pressure is set at the regulator and is constant. However, the blower that feeds the regulator may be inadequate, or the regulator may be mis-adjusted. Also, this is a 19th century, mechanical [tracker] action organ. There is NO borrowing. All stops are straight and play only on one division.
It's a tracker (straight mechanical action). . .there is NO borrowing.
That priest had a tiny organ. He probably had no problem finding fans that would place tulips on that organ, though!
SO NO ONE CAN DRESS UP ANY MORE???
Sad, but very true. I've been organist at many Protestant churches and congregations were always "dressed" -- jackets, ties, dresses etc. -- never casual attire. One only seems to see casual dress in R.C. churches -- a lack of respect -- IMO
casual dress is inviting to folks who are searchers/seekers, not having to feel they must DRESS to come into God's presence. GOD does NOT look on the outer appearance (scripture).
this IS A ROMAN catholic CHURCH??? omg THIS IS A MESS OF A CHURCH
True! With even the high altar removed and just spiritually "warm" items scattered about, it looks much more non-denominational. They only other thing missing to make it look like some tepid Protestant church is a drum set and microphone stands and an amplifier. Beyond sad.
kostumeman i agree, the point of Gods house is that its supposed to look different from all the other buildings around it. Now churches want to be "friendly with the youth" and have the church look like a school auditorium. Also new churches replace organ music with contemporary music. Nothing wrong with worshiping the LORD with different styles of music, its just churches need to ask themselves: why are we doing this? Is it to please man? Or is it please God?
It really is...
It's a NOVUS ORDO "church". The Roman Catholic Church has been underground since the 1960s, having been driven off by the same HERETIC modernists that brought you this ABOMINATION of a "church". Certainly inhabited by demons, just like the souls of the "parishioners".
3 words: Vatican II Council
St Mark Lutheran Church in Lindenhurst, IL has a beautiful pipe organ as well.
beautiful
Man not singing - fanning himself with program book with sour look on face!
that little instrument up front is fantastic... and so is the organist playing it! Great choice of repertoire.
The chancel organ is a 1-manual & pedal, 1872 Garrett House organ of 8-ranks.
I prefer brittish pipe organ !
Blessings from Texas. Need to go there soon.
No A.C. must be too warm in the Church.
Very Disrespectfully he dress in God House. Need dress right.
How wonderful to be able to hear Gregorian chant sung in a Roman Catholic Mass is such a wonderful acoustical and musical environment! Does this congregation sing Gregorian chant during each mass? Many thanks for posting this wonderful video.
Indeed, but there still are some irreductible fans of the King of instruments (like myself), Canary6396. It has influenced many centuries of mankind's culture. No easy task to erase them :) .
Also, you cannot see the statues, which are above and on the side altar and wall. St Mary, St. Joseph, and others. You should visit this church sometime!
The church is beautiful, the tabernacle is on the right side as you look at the altar.
Such a Glorious old pipe organ.
Great that they saved the organ! Too bad they didn't save the original sanctuary also.
HMMM, It doesn't sound like a Crashavant. Couldn't be a Schantz, they usually use Zinc pipes. An Austin? Sounds too mellow for Austin. Maybe it's a Schnitger with leathered lips? Na. Couldn't be Fisk. They always have an 8' Spireflute on the Great, and this doesn't have one. The sound is too full for Wicks, so scratch that. Couldn't be a Moller, it's not shrill enough. Perhaps it's a new version of Rodgers electronic with pipes, Victorian accent to the pipes. Ok, I give...... exactly who built this organ?
Do any of you people ever bother to do a Google search? It's a vintage 19th-century American tracker by Carl Barckhoff. All of the info can be found on the Organ Historical Society Database here: database.organsociety.org/OrganDetails.php?OrganID=8436
Lovely music. I fear the pipe organ will fade away as this generation fades, as there are fewer and fewer persons interested in this "old fashioned" type of music. The pipe organ is a wonderful instrument and worthy to be preserved. :))
Many young people like the organ like me! I an 19
Kaleb Lippert 15 right here and saving up for a reed organ
Nathan Davis I've had hours of fun playing on them!
Nathan Davis....look-up Rodney Jantzi here on CZcams. He restores and plays reed organs and is a great gentleman!
I agree fully, also playing organ but I experienced, the interest for this type of music is decreasing rapidly, less and less people have the calm to enjoy. More and more just want to have big show-events, even more for eyes than for ears. Even no matter if played music just comes out of tape or any other kind of recording or even just some electronic arts. Nowadays it is just to easy, just switch any music-device on and there it is any kind of music out of the speakers or headphones, the one want to hear and of course ever in best and most perfect quality. So the real organ with its complexity seems to be less and less appreciated....too expensive in care for...less and less people come even to church at all ... so there seems no other way for future than to die off ... sooner or later... for this great instrument and it's originally played music from the historic past.
Excellent music. Far better than most First Communion Masses I've seen. BMP
go to 20.00 for the organ
It's nice the parish restored your beautiful organ, too bad they destroyed the altar and sanctuary. Tim Brien Des Moines, Iowa
