@@deantravis6217 I appreciate the suggestion. The guy I’ve got working on it said he wants to rebuild my transmission because it’s a v-drive which I have no problem with. He’s just taking a long time to get me a price.

@@buckkunk it isn't hard. It is a different technique. The rig I use is in my fluke rig video. It's a hi low rig. It works great with gulp baits. I find fish around changing bottom types like transition places going from rocky to sandy / muddy. Keep your drift under 1 knot but not slower than a half a knot. You need to be moving. Bounce the rig off the bottom in a jigging motion as to drift. Short jigs. Nothing to radical. Just small slow lifts so the sinker on the bottom of the rig bounces just off the bottom. If the fish are there they'll bite.

Thanks Bill! I hope to get to the cosmetics more this winter. I''ve spent most of my time with getting the mechanicals in shape. Its become a very reliable boat and the stability it has going through the water is remarkable. I'm very pleased with it. Dean

@@deantravis6217 I’m in the exact same situation. I spent all winter getting the electrical straight now I’ve got to repower the boat which I wasn’t expecting to do right now.

@@billdavis6900 I looked into replacing the long block this past winter too. I have a company that I have bought several times over the years from. Remanufactured long blocks are around $2300 for a 5.7 of my vintage. My engine is fine but sat for 20 years in storage so I baby it. But I'm ready to replace if I need to. @@billdavis6900 i had my engine out and on a pallet this past winter so I have experience with that project too. Went pretty easy using a skid steer.. good luck with the repower. Let me know if I can give any advise.
