Yep I like how you did the prep work. The only thing I didn't like about my prep work was I was supposed to seam seal and completely forgot as I got close to spraying. Just flew right outa my brain. That's ok, I'll get it on the next coat when I fix my messy finish.
And, just think, you get more content out of it.👍 I'll be watching you.😁
@@Wrenchen-with-Darren you know it. I have a couple projects to go through first of course. There always seems to be something to video with me so I rarely struggle for content. Just struggle with delivery. My recipe is all over the place a the best of times. I think my daughters are right... might have a touch of turbo ADHD hahaha
Hey, thank you for the shout out! Much appreciated. Excellent video breaking down the issues. And as for the stress of the job... spot on. I was near vibrating even before I picked up that stupid 3m gun. lol. But we push ourselves because we do love doing these things we do. Even pre-planning the spray pattern didn't work for me but I was already worried about the amount of product and the fun blowing apart so... I wish I had have had extra paint to recoat the way you did. That woulda made a big difference. But I'll fix it and keep going. Thanks for doing this video!
Yes, we push on and things usually work out pretty good.
Looks way better than black. Hate black bed liner on old pickups that aren't black.
Totally agree. Yea, a little more expensive but, worth it. This is my favorite truck so far. Thanks for your comments.
I’m obsessed!!!
@@cheddsNash 😁 I've been a little obsessed with it myself. Haha and thanks!!!
That turned out awesome! Looks amazing! Love the color match!
I love that color, always called it mustard yellow, more of a ford guy but I have a 78 c10 Spanish gold is a cool color
Thanks, my ford friend. If you are considering a spray in bed liner, you NEED to watch tomorrow's video. Spoiler alert, not good. But there's things to learn. 😂
Well when I inherit this baby I’ll love the dented hood that my dad dented 😉
You can hear the birds chirping. 🌸. Peaceful out there.
“It’s what I wanted and it’s my truck.” Does that mean it’s a keeper?! Next project… another barn.
Well, that depends on what my wife says.👍
Got the real life doc from cars over here 😂
Something about “Spanish Gold” sounds cool as hell.
I actually enjoy saying it at the start of the video's. 👍
Good looking truck
Thanks so much!!!!
Can I leave a high gloss primer as such without sealing? I rattle-canned my car a couple weeks ago and the fumes were a bit much for my setup. And my logic is I can repair it more easily if I don't seal the primer? It's really glassy with just the primer (2x Rustoleum) and I laid it on thick, about 12 cans.
Sorry, CZcams didn't show me your comment. Anyway, yes you can run it that way. But, sometimes you can get rust bleed through. A sealer is best. I will double check the 2x and get back to you. I'd love to see it.
Ok, according to rustoleum.... the 2x primer is a rust inhibitor. So, you should be good. I've never used rattle can pait for a Finnish before. But, I'm having fun finding ways to get a nice glossy finish. Good luck to you.👍
Thanks for the shout out and can't wait to see the 72
Genetry Solar where it's at! KEEP MOVING!!
I've never stayed at a holiday inn
Work, work, work.
I had to do it in my 95 Yukon. Wasn't too bad
Cool, I was not sure. Thought some GM cars, required under dash work.
I was sweating pops!
Lol, me too!!!!
Cant find it, where did you hide it
Lol 👍
Drew my attention to it, otherwise I would’ve forgotten again. 😊
Spanish gold rush. 🌸
Let’s ride!
Goodness gravy boats! 🤦♀️ And in the end you make it look feather touch easy. Wow. I hear grandpa saying, “work smarter not harder”.
Coming along. “Always something!” 😂
Very anxious to hear that thing fire up!!
Shouldn't be long now. I chasing some small wiring gremlins. 🤔
. Best video I've ever made.😂
Just in time for spring. Enjoy.

Startup video soon?
Gonna see a first start video soon?
Won't be long now.
All the tedious little things pile up at the end. Good luck. 👏
Take it for spin. Praying no ground issues. 😉
Can’t wait to… drive it! 😍 it’s my favorite!
Looking forward to it running "within the next month"
Why not do that "milwaukee vs dewalt"?
Sorry not loctite this week. It didn't show up on camera.
Trying to paint myself. It’s an art to do it right, so hard to feather an edge and especially hard to fix a mistake (if fixable at all). Can’t wait to learn!
Well, we will be learning together, practice makes perfect as they used to say.
Lots to be aware of vs just pull apart and put together. Exposing the art of mechanics - Mike Rowe’s org would be so proud. As am I! 🛠️⚙️🔩
The cracks and stuck chunks are normal. Just crappy casting by GM.
Thanks, the after market one is WAY better.
Shopping paint isn’t for the faint of heart, soooo many options! Geez Louise.
Right!!! White has a million shades.
You can powdercoat or black oxide coat (caswell plating) hardware to keep that crisp blacked out look going under hood. Good luck on that fauxtina, maybe just paint both with same paint rather than trying to match it. But I was wondering about which you'd prefer one or two piece driveshaft for engine swapped and shortened trucks?
Thanks for the advice! I think I will just use some basic white paint and use it on everything. I prefer a one piece driveshaft, and I will have one made for the 1968. 👍 Stop by again sometime.
A new microphone? Big leagues
Omg I was sweating! Nice job!
Glad you threw in the spanish gold in there. 😊
You should see the exhaust on my grand prix. Its close to everything
I bet it is, must have been really difficult. 👍
Finicky fab is that country chic?
Done! Woo hoo!
Yes! Thanks for the helpful explanations. Now the brake lines can get installed worry free without having to pay a shop to do it.
My pleasure, and thank you!!!
Later tomater!
Hi from WA This rear brake line has a (large) 1/2-20 size fitting where its supposed to connect to a 3/16 size port on the proportioning valve and I cant find a fitting/reducer 1/2 female to -3/16 male, any advice? Is it ok to add two fittings together or do I need to get smaller line? Whats the rear line and fitting size for master cylinder/proportioning valve connection on yours?
I'm so sorry for the late responce. I did not see your comment. My lines all fit the block, I did have one line with the wrong end, by a caliper. It IS ok to use a proper adapter. There are so many styles and types from auto maker to auto maker. And don't get me started on foreign cars. Good luck!!!
I will address this issue, I'm my next video. Thanks again for the comment.
I did exhaust cutouts too. Thanks for the info. I kinda want to add an X or an H on it to increase flow
