catch alot of squid further out passed the shoreline.
A lot of good small fish landed mate but myself being a fisheries officer you should be landing all of your fish in a landing net big or small. With lifting the Fish out of the water you damage their internal organs and you have Fish in your bucket still alive under the fisheries act you have to humanly kill the fish straight away if you don’t do this you can be fined. Not very happy. Regards Laurie.
Didn’t know this law I’ve had many fisheries see me do this before never been told about this but I will kill them right away from now I released all undersized fish and never even think too keep too many then I need. I can’t use a landing net off the jetty unfortunately as the jetty is too big but I do realease the small fish effectively and efficiently

Not a bad idea to try both but genuinely I don’t really ever have much luck with whitting heads so either flathead or Carp!

1/8 or 1/16 weight is probably ideal for when just using It with pilchard
