My shifter bushing it’s missing and I am installing a new one soon . It’s seems the car it’s stuck on gear 1-2-3 and doesn’t accelerate above 30 miles per hour . Does the shifter bushing effect the speed of the car ? Thank you to all of you
No the bushing just avoids the clunky noise from metal but has nothing to do with the actual shifting.
thank you for the video & thoroughness... a bit tricky getting the safety pin off, i tied it with a thin wire and was holding it not to loose it into the abyss of the pit hole (put some wd 40 on it for easy removal as well.

Do the rear rotors have to replaced when changing out pads? I know that for the front rotors have to be replaced because the pads make a lip on the rotor which I think is dumb on Mercedes to even make.
This is true but the rear ones do not have as much wear. They always recommend to replace both, that’s how they make money but if you are not taking your car to the track and is just normal driving it will get the job safely done ✅ Thanks for watching 🙌🏼

My 1999 mercedes e320 and I had spilled soda on my shifter I’m sure it leaked in will replacing it take it out of limp mode?? It shifts into reverse neutral and drive just none of the number gears. I think it’s stuck in third as I can drive it without red lining up to 50 mph
Did you ever get it fixed ? My friend accidentally spilled a shake last night on the center console. Car started slipping badly and shaking, wouldn’t go past 20 & shift knob got locked, luckily i was just down my street and was able to get back.

I have a 2000 E320 5sp automatic. Liquid spilled on the shifter. The mechanic says the used one will need to be recoded. I have heard some say yes. some say no. What do you say?

@@4gomez7 ebc yellow pads are crap til you get them up to temp (squeaking, mushy brake feel and overall performance). i returned them and got stoptech 309's.

@@4gomez7 stoptech 309's are really good. the cold bite is there, and unless ur beating on them on the track, they wont fail, even on hard street driving

@@eramire5 Thank you! At that point in time I was told, that the unit is part of the car alarm and needed to be reprogrammed when exchanged. My error was based on connectivity issues from the fuse box left side to the box with the controllers on the right side. Cheers Thomas

Not a bad video. You do need a torx bit. Luckily I had a set. Took me like 40 min. To remove and install. Could probably do it in 20 min now. Didnt even need to disconnect battery. Ps dont cut any cables I just unplugged mine.

@@anthonymasias6632 your stuck in limp mode. Changing the shifter should work.
Great video! Thanks! What are good replacement airbags at good prices. Also replacement compressor and sensors. Is there software available to calibrate the sensors or do I have to go to the dealer
Andy Fernandez Hi Andy I order the same brand on Amazon. The calibration has to be done at the dealer or someone that has the SLS scanning tool to get it done ✅
