1979 Pontiac Trans Am 10th Anniversary 400/4 Speed Pace Car- a true ''Unrestored Survivor''!
The 1979 Pontiac 10th Anniversary Trans Am Pace Car is an iconic model celebrated for its unique design and limited production run. Released to commemorate Pontiac's involvement in the Daytona 500 as the official pace car, this special edition Trans Am featured a striking two-tone silver and charcoal paint scheme with bold graphics. It was powered by a potent 6.6-liter V8 engine paired with either a four-speed manual or automatic transmission, delivering impressive performance for its time. The interior boasted luxurious appointments, including silver leather upholstery and special commemorative badging. With only 7,500 units produced and only 1,871 came equipped with the discontinued Pontiac W72 400 engine and a four-speed manual, the 1979 Pontiac 10th Anniversary Trans Am Pace Car remains highly coveted among collectors and enthusiasts alike.

You're comparing apples to oranges here . This Belair while very nice , is obviously a fairly recent build . The 210 that was used in The Hollywood Knights movie was stare of the art for back then , which was the late seventies to early eighties . None other than George Barris gave that car it's first yellow paint job , and Tony Nancy upholstered it .
