My son played this at his grandfather's funeral. Intensely moving...My dad would always request his grandson play this when he was amongst the living. Parents, invest in your children's music. There's no greater gift.
As country as it gets on the pitch and perhaps perfect horrible melody….
Unless you’re singing
Sugar Grove Carol, What kinda sweet tea you got?

“What Wondrous Love” took my breath away. Beautiful playing, with a profound sense of time and space.
I find it intriguing how zydeco and Cajun mélange.
❤ from France
This music has brought me out of some really dark places
So Beautiful!!!
Wow; just seeing this now. Really neat effects! I'll have to experiment with some of them myself!
Love the sound of uilleann pipes. :o)
From Australia, this is banging good time music. Next time I visit the US I want to go to a good Creole/ Cajun dance
the first year when i learned guitar, i heard this song, ten years passed, the melody stays as vivid as the first day
I like this arrangement even better than Dolly Parton's original version -- I don't know how that is possible but it is.
It's PURE Americana ❤ luv this country No where else do cultures clash like this Beautiful
I'm from Morgan City Louisiana it just brings back memories dancing to the the band on Front Street

Rest i Peace Tom...Your music is your legacy.

My mother's family was French Canadian. Grew up with it. Luckily I'm a virginian and my family settled on the eastern shore of VA. My mom and great aunt spoke French. Didn't tell my aunt we were French she'd cuss at ya it was French Canadian.
IT IS RAINING ON MY SOUL.
Is Garnet using DADGAD tuning here or just drop D? My ear is no longer cooperating....
Oh my! Fantastic!
Aryana Rose
Great great piper Johnny Doran be proud to hear such great piping
Bravo!
Very wonderful. Top notch sound and skill.
I had the opportunity to hear Bryan perform some years ago, what a treat! I've discovered the virtues of a diatonic harp (I presume) by watching and listening to him play now that I know a bit more about the instrument. I didn't know why he had all those harps on the floor by him back then. Now I have a notion of why.
Cajun and creole music is perhaps the most apt genre to describe American history: a French based musical tradition highly influenced by Spanish dance, African rhythmic structures, and Native American music/dance gatherings. If any genre were truly a melting pot then it’s this.
The geen beans arent salted..... IYKYK
Hermosa versión. Que bonita queda en una voz femenina.

C’est magnifique
Happy Norway Day! May 17
Norwegian folk melody "Devil's Tune" (Fanitullen) Fanitullen is the name of one of the most famous norwegian folktunes. It means «The Devil’s Tune», and according to legend, Fanitullen was conceived on a farm in Hol in the valley of Hallingdal in 1724 during a violent and bloody wedding. When one of the participants went to get more mead he saw the Devil himself sit on the barrel playing this tune on his fiddle.
