Maybe rubber seal that is sealing plunger is of nitrile rubber that is resistant to chemicals and we can use lithium grease instead of silicone (rubber) grease... really don't know. Can you tell me if the rubber seal sits at the bottom of the regulator hole first or does it go's on to the Groove round the regulator then into the hole ?

for no reason,i had a wrapping tape laying around and lots of free time so i combined both, anyway enginebay might be cooler if you wrap exhaust

My guess is a cracked valve ? Lol I have a 2006 with necam lpg fitting and tank underneath outside the vehicle I had several damaged valves cylinder one was the worst for pressure
Now it is February and it's very cold for working on Lada but in the summer i will remove the head and will see then was the valve seats or cracked valve, my has also LPG installation and they say that gas burning temperature is higher then petrol burning temp. and that is the cause of craking, bending valves
Hello from Scotland. I've had the niva 10 years. Its just back on the road after a VERY BIG restoration lol yeah i knew the temperatures were hotter with lpg I looked at installing a valve saver fuild that might help make the engine last longer. I've changed to the uprated valves i had cracks on alot of the original valves . Good luck for when you start to it again 👍

Hi, I have the very same model from late 2005. I have the Cyl1 lower than the other as you have. Any clue why this? In general, all my cylinder have lower compression (9-10Bar) , but 2-3-4 are the same and n°1 about 1 bar lower than others..
my engine has got relative low mileage, about 50k km so i think that piston rings are not worn , somewhere i have read that if you put some engine oil in cylinder and compression greatly improvese piston rings are wornt and engine has to be rebuilt. In my case i suspect on valve seals in first cylinder.
