Tx! Great video.
Nice upgrade. Question? why is the outlet shifted to the left and open?
Good eye. I didn't notice that. I'll have to ask them
Good one, what a change in the functionality, home run boys!
Thanks! I'm still looking for the perfect sink. I got two from Amazon and returned them. Sooner or later I'll find the one I like. Hopefully before I get a concussion for hitting my head on the medicine cabinet🥴
Thank you for the video it was very helpful
great ideas. regarding the battery box you showed... is that the factory installed double battery box vented or did the dealer install an aftermarket battery box?
Thanks. As far as I know, it came from the factory
Good video. I installed the same system, in same location using J Hooks (but I like the magnet approach), and it IS a little difficult to see when mounting. I've also installed these same J hooks inside cargo bay, on forward bulkhead, to hang unit for traveling. Quick connects and 90s also make things simpler for hookups. I've also have quick connections with plugs and caps to secure all components for traveling, mitigating water drainage, and keeping components clean(er). I've also used this filtration system (minus the filters) to sanitize the entire system, and water lines within the rig. Keep up the good work. Your ideas, and trial and error, help tremendously. Thanks!
Always great video Rich!
Great video
Impressive work! The upgrades are visually appealing, and the effective use of space is both intriguing and motivating. The walkthrough was straightforward, making it easy to follow and we appreciate all the enhancements. from the reel to the light dimmers we will be making some upgrades to our 2024 that we pickup this week. Loved the Jayco Eagle, but this Avenue is reflection our home. Thank you for sharing, Rich and Becky!
Rich, thanks for all the great videos. Since we have identical trailers, you have given me great ideas! My question is regarding the location of the wear bars. You say the Alliance claims the wear bars should be 3 inches from the edge of the slide. In that case, the skis are not touching the wear bars at all. In fact it looks like the skis would not touch anything, which kind of defeats the purpose. I looked at mine and they came from the factory lined up with the skis, not 3 inches in. Apparently Alliance is not sure where they should be located either. Thoughts?
I'm actually at the Pennsylvania Alliance Meet-Up now. I checked a bunch of them and the majority are not lined up with the ski regardless of the ski type. What year do you have
@@checkingitoutwithrich5711 Mine is a 2022 32RLS. Question, if the wear bar is not lined up with the ski, does the ski actually touch anything? It seems like the wear bar would just be pushing against the underside of the slide.
@user-ib8jm1cp5r correct, if you look you should have one or two in-between the outer ones. The underside of the floor rides on them. One thing I would. Remove them and round off both ends so they don't cut grooves on the underside of floor
@@checkingitoutwithrich5711 I did some follow-up with Alliance regarding the placement of the wear bars. Their first reply was to position the wear bar to the outside edge. See quote below. "Good morning. Thank you for reaching out. Your wear bars should be on the far left and right on the slide pan. They should stick past the edge of the slide floor. When the slide comes in it will ride up on the slide pan then fall on the wear bars. This will keep it from touching the floor when coming all the way in. Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions." I followed up with a picture and got back this reply. "With the old slide ski that covers the front edge, the wear bar needs to be out to the edge of the floor. If the new slide skis are going to be installed you can leave the wear bar inboard as the new ski cannot hit the wear bar." So, my take away is, if you have the old ski (as mine does) the wear bar should be at the outside edge. If you have the new ski design, as you are showing, the ski should be inward where it does not touch the new ski. ...whew!
@user-ib8jm1cp5r Yes, that's the way I understand it. But originally I only had one that was on the wear bars. I replaced another one and installed it a bit different. I'm waiting to see how it holds up before putting out a video
thank you so much for making this video!
great video --i love how you went to all the sites --thank you --makes planning so much easier
Thank you Rich!
Hey Rich, I assume the code seals are the same method? My side seals on the kitchen slide are torn.
Yes same thing
Thanks for video very helpful
Another GREAT video my friend, thank you
Good one!!
When is the next rally
The week of Memorial Day next year. There are regional was too. We're having one next month in Pennsylvania
Where at in PA.?
@user-sy9xt7rs2r Templeton Bear Ridge Campground
Oh noooo how could it be?? Alliance didn't put weather stripping on the door.... they make the best RV out there! Where is quality control and follow up at the factor? Great work Rich!!
Rich, just wanted to thank you! We purchased a 2024 32rls and after watching this video I checked the fan and sure enough no sleeve. Contacted Alliance and Stephanie send it right out. All good now.. thanks again!
How’s about a close-up showing the thermostat before you do anything? Want to know how to remove the cover.
You shouldn't have to take off the cover if they installed the mounting plate. You should be able to just push up on the stat. It's not easy to take off the cover. Try using a small screwdriver. I think they wasted more time trying to get it apart to mount it. It would have been faster and easier to use the mounting plate
Thanks Rich, those do look great for back packing. I make the egg carton ones for our fireplace with reject candles and dryer lint. They work well too. Any chance you and Becky will be at the Oregon Alliance Rally in a couple of weeks?
I wish we were going. I told Becky when we retire we'll travel the country going to all the rallies.
@@checkingitoutwithrich5711 That one's a long haul for sure.
Hey, I saw those get installed!!! Great video, love the way the legs adjust, winner!! We had to paint our factory stairs too, they had rust in the same spots. Thanks for sharing.
Didn't know if it would be worth the money. But now, wished we would've done it sooner.
Nice Video. Was on the fence with this, but yours and another video has convinced me. I was looking at one that swivels. I see that you got the telescoping A-Frame ladder. What do you think? Does it store ok? So many things on a RV that requires a ladder.
I think that swivels would be nice as long as it's not too bulky. I like the A frame ladder. The camper I have now has a ladder on it our last 2 didn't. The only reason I still carry it is to access the awnings if something happens. Downside is its big and heavy
Nice video and product, will look forward to this someday....
I have one and I love it! The strap should be mounted so that the screw is just outside of the ladder frame on the lower end at least so that when the tailgate is up, the ladder can't sag from it's own weight and truck movements. Next, you need the tailgate shock. Another thing that I thought I would never need.
Who makes the shock?
Great video
I never thought I wanted a grandpa step on my truck. Until the one truck came with it in the tailgate. I'll never have a truck without a built in "pappy" step again :) Nice video buddy
Thanks for the review, very thorough. Did you end up using the antenna extension wire? How long is your rig?
I forgot to touch base on that in the video. From camera to monitor is about 42'. I didn't use the antenna extension and I lost signal 5 times. 3 on the way up and twice on the way back. I think that's well within the margin of error for me. If the camper was any longer I would definitely add the extension.
Good information, presented well! Did Becky get hazard pay for hanging on the ladder?
She should have. She didn't complain or anything
Thanks for posting Rich. It looks great and a number of good tips from C2RV during the install.
Needed this info. Thanks
No way would I ever buy an alliance that’s all I see is poor quality control and poor craftsmanship from alliance
Sorry you feel that way. I think no matter what you buy you might have issues. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Alliance
I camped in Blue Knob State Park. The Kadydids and Racoons kept me awake as I was in a tent.
Our first time there was in a tent in 2006. Had a great time except we left our sleeping bag at the last campground. Walmart here we come.
Looks great what size of stove is it
24"
Great job Lynn and Kimberly. Thanks for filming this Rich.
Just think. Had you not bought that POS, you would not have to go through all this. Does not appear you having a good time. / Word!
Tx! We have a 2024 32rls. Our pull is OK but I can imagine it happening in the future.
Try to pull straight up using the hand that on the same side as the pull. Pulling across your lap put a lot of stress on the cable. Should make it last longer. How are you liking the 32?
They did our install at The Rally& were very happy. 👏👏👏
They did a great job. Glad we had it done. Nice video Rich. I cringed when he cut the wall out😱
Great video!! I just added another thing I want done to our rig. Should have had it done at the rally. He did an excellent job.
Oh goodness.... Hurts to watch cutting that hole!! Good Job Rich, Lynn, Kim and Becky nice upgrade well done by a pro!
It gets easier after the first one. For me anyway not so much for Becky
You are not far from me!! Shaler Twp
Howdy neighbor. What camper do you have
Where can you buy that oven?
Eventually Camping World. If you want to email me I can get you contact info for the manufacturer.
Great Video Rich!
I went with rv locks and they seem to do well.
Hey Rich, great job on the mods! We just purchased a 32RLS, and it looks like you have a video for many of the mods that we are about to tackle. I wish you had recorded the install of the dresser outlet, but I did see your description on another comment. Thanks for the videos!
Congratulations! You're going to love the 32. The plug on the dresser is pretty straightforward. PM me if you have any questions and I'll give you my number
Well another case where an AH buys an Rv/ it falls apart and now the drama starts oh yeah the money flows
Thank you so much for watching
Thanks for the review. We have a Level Mate Pro. It is invaluable for finding level sites while boondocking, and working from the driver's seat is a must. One problem I have is reconnecting once my phone screen saver turns on. I have to wait to connect for a few minutes, it is a little annoying.
Same here with the Level Mate. Beech Lane no problems
We went camping here two years ago and really liked it…They have an intact stone furnace which is great to see. We’ll probably go back soon.
