What an amazing teacher! And to be able to banter so lovingly with the kids and manage to throw a gorgeous pitcher at the same time?!?

people in the background need to be quiet. It's very distracting and it give the impression that they are not listening.

It was still a great tutorial. Thank you for coating this lesson! Any chance you would post another tutorial for a wide, flat decorative bowl where the top folds, or tips way in, towards the center? And it’s completely rounded on top too. Ive been working on that for awhile now, but with no true success. TIA!

  • @sammi-joreviews1135

I wish there were more videos of his lessons in throwing on the wheel. I’ll be looking for his glaze lessons next. I hope they are as enlightening as the ones I’ve found of him throwing. Not only does he teach the ‘how,’ he teaches the ‘why.’ Better still he shows what happens if you don’t. If all teachers were this gifted… wow.

  • @sammi-joreviews1135

I realize it’s been several years since you made/uploaded this video. That being said, do you recall the width of bottom of this bowl? Width of top at the rim? Perhaps the height? I’m working to add a footer ring. I can’t help but worry it’s too easy to tip over. Base is 4cm; height 10cm, & rim width is 12cm. I’m using Laguna BMix 5 with grog.

I'm a potter with a small shop and I work by myself. I use to teach but, haven't since the start of the pandemic. Latlely I have videos running in the background while I work. They are good for picking up both pottery and teaching tips. I would love to have a full day worth of videos of your classes, just for the chatter in the background. I hadn't realized how much I miss the voices and sounds of students. I was glad you didn't tell them to quiet down while you recorded.
