Hi sir, thank you for the best video on starting how to throw I've seen. 🙏
Any idea where the Instructor is in 2024?

Thank you teach
What an amazing teacher! And to be able to banter so lovingly with the kids and manage to throw a gorgeous pitcher at the same time?!?
Thank you for this video. I’m about to pug clay for the first time and this preview was helpful.
This one is 100% legit, im not even a bot.. saved my life when i already finished editing. thumbs up!
people in the background need to be quiet. It's very distracting and it give the impression that they are not listening.
It was still a great tutorial. Thank you for coating this lesson! Any chance you would post another tutorial for a wide, flat decorative bowl where the top folds, or tips way in, towards the center? And it’s completely rounded on top too. Ive been working on that for awhile now, but with no true success. TIA!
I wish there were more videos of his lessons in throwing on the wheel. I’ll be looking for his glaze lessons next. I hope they are as enlightening as the ones I’ve found of him throwing. Not only does he teach the ‘how,’ he teaches the ‘why.’ Better still he shows what happens if you don’t. If all teachers were this gifted… wow.
I realize it’s been several years since you made/uploaded this video. That being said, do you recall the width of bottom of this bowl? Width of top at the rim? Perhaps the height? I’m working to add a footer ring. I can’t help but worry it’s too easy to tip over. Base is 4cm; height 10cm, & rim width is 12cm. I’m using Laguna BMix 5 with grog.
The background noise is kind of annoying, but awesome technique tips. Thank you! Now to see if you have some other great videos!
In this video cylinder what weight of clay did you begin with .?
Finally found a method I can do. Thank you
those kids had the best pottery instructor ever.
What type of clay are you using?
Best lesson for beginners!
very clear instructions and demonstration
twisting the clay before pulling it is an interesting concept to try, seems like it works great!
and why don't you finish the rim LOL?
fun video though!
why would you ever take your foot off the pedal????
It stays going by itself, and you don't strain your foot that way 🙂
How many pounds Are you using to make a jug
Yea
My clay is grey colour does that make any difference in comparison to brown clay... or is it just different colour ?

I'm a potter with a small shop and I work by myself. I use to teach but, haven't since the start of the pandemic. Latlely I have videos running in the background while I work. They are good for picking up both pottery and teaching tips. I would love to have a full day worth of videos of your classes, just for the chatter in the background. I hadn't realized how much I miss the voices and sounds of students. I was glad you didn't tell them to quiet down while you recorded.
aaiio
This is very informative. I love that you ask for student suggestions and point out what you could've done differently.
How did you center so easily and other famous pottery CZcamsrs use the other technique to squeeze up and down which is so difficult? Thanks, I’m going to try your technique
Great instruction but was it filmed in a youth club? Very distracting.
The "Handle intructor"...Yes Sir....Amazing !!! greetings from Hungary
After digging around, it seems this teacher is Tim Benson. I sure wish he had his own YT for pottery videos here! I don't think he teaches at MH any longer. Great instructor!
Great vid. Noisey, I want to tell them to be quiet for you! But, thanks for posting.
Spite of back ground noise..very simple easy to show the cylinder demonstration.
Tiny Tony cracks me up! I really wish y'all could post versions of your vids on Instagram so I repost for my students!
Don’t improvise the procedure-Thank you very much for that wisdom!
This is mad impressive like you can tell this dude doesn’t play around he knows what he’s doing
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Lovely help
beautiful! can you please tell me what's the name of the base tool where we put the clay and spin it .. is this available on amazon?
Way too much noise in the background. Hard to focus on what he is saying.
Great demo Timmy bob, but just kept staring at that stripped shirt. Nate B.
easy to follow, great to watch, thanks for sharing, cant wait to try it myself
Thank you so very much for your instructions to help my pottery learning more understandable!
Dope. Thanks for not using a rib for the initial forming. Was having trouble opening without a rib.
Nice work! How to you manage projects that large with multiples classes work? In consideration to how much space they will take up per firing? How many bisque firings are you doing for a project like this?
Smart form to use to learn this technique on. Thanks.
Thanks. Useful, unfussy. Awesome.
Could you advise on water when centreing?
