Landscape photographer from North Yorkshire, UK, now dabbling in video making (with much learning to do and a long way to go to make acceptable content). Really enjoying a very steep learning curve but I’ll get there eventually. All tips and tricks gratefully accepted !!
Tent Caterpillars
Whilst out on my daily walk I came across the tell tale sign of the Small eggar moth caterpillar (Eriogaster lanestris), a silky tent like structure formed in the branches of a Hawthorne bush in the hedgerow. The caterpillars live together in this nursery web from April to July before overwintering as pupae. The Small Eggar moth used to be quite common but following the gradual destruction of hedgerows, its favourite habitat, this is now a scarce species. Most frequent in Somerset and Dorset with scattered records around Oxfordshire, Norfolk, Lancashire, eastern parts of Wales and two localities in Northern Ireland.
This particular 'tent' was found in North Yorkshire.

Recently I had the opportunity to travel on a replica Viking longboat at the Loftr Viking Museum, Lofoten, Norway. It was very windy and the trip was a little bit hairy in some parts. The boat, as with the rest of the museum, well worth a visit if you're in the Lofoten Islands. Pick a good day for the boat ride! Enjoy!

Wild Brown Bear, Finland

During 2019 I was able to visit Wild Brown Bear Ltd, in Finland to photograph European Brown Bear on their nightly forage for food. These bears cross the border from Russia each night on their quest for a meal. During this summer night I saw about 9 different bears and got some photographs I'm really happy with. Is this really his grave under the stones? I read that he was buried close to Halsa on a meadow. That he can rest in peace. The stones are only a memorial place. Does someone know the truth?❤

Why wasn't Keiko laid to rest on that small island so he can be at peace and left alone from all the tourists who I blame for because it's there fault that SeaWorld/ Sea Parks exist

It's him. He beached himself and they buried him close to where he came ashore.
Keiko should not have been in a pen. He needed to be swimming around to keep his blood flowing to stay warmer so he could live. Orcas have to be swimming around to keep their adrenaline moving that's how they survive in those severely cold water temperatures. And I also think that he would not have had any problem figuring out how to eat fish. Basically he froze to death and this could have been prevented. RIP Keiko 🙏

Remainder of his life? He spent it chasing humans for attention... then he quickly died... a shortened life because nobody cared what keiko wanted...
