I think they patched Power Projection recently or the soft cap was up to 50 Power Projection and beyond that there are minimal gains. That's kinda weird.

Definitely go for Thallasocracy it’s a great reform. I just played the Dutch and had so many Indiamen running trade missions that my 6k sailors a month could barely keep up

Thallasocracy seems like a fun objective, historical too, dominating trade in the North Sea and the Baltics. btw did you do that one dev click in Malakka province yet to get the extra building slot? Getting some more power in that node would be very profitable.

It's very impressive to see a Golden Age and naval hegemony active in the 1540s. That's not even counting the small army of colonies ready to paint half the globe orange. Also, don't forget about circumnavigating the globe!

Gelderland is named after a town in present-day Germany.

Its weird that Calais, Artois, Cambray and Lille arent part of the low countries region, they are historical Dutch land. It should include some provinces in Germany along the border and lower Rhine as well. Ost-Friesland is a part of it despite the Netherlands having less claim on that than the department du nord in France.

Since I suggested it many videos ago, albeit your new colony is in Vancouver, Washington and not British Columbia, I suggest Nieuw-Utrecht. Utrecht is where my family name comes from (Leersum). As I mentioned all those videos ago, the area was popular with Dutch immigrants who settled the Fraser and Nooksak Valleys with (mostly) dairy farms. Many came over in the late 1800s and early 1900s. More following the Second World War, including my family eventually. Chilliwack is a large community in the Eastern Fraser Valley, renown for the large number of Dutch farmers and sarcastically known as being the Dutch Mafia.

Im having a similar game, angry france and trying to get around alliances to keep colonies for myself.

And at 30:45 you look at Malakka province again and dont upgrade it! Angry Dutch trade noises!
