This is part #2 of the Clinton, MD trail ride day. With so many trails going all over the place here it can be hard to decide where to go. The mudhole minefields are a challenge, the powerline trails are actually wide and and every time we come back we find something new.

Headed back to CIinton, MD for some trail action. I know plenty of folks need a place to enter the trails so I thought I'd show where we go. You should be able to figure this out with google earth if needed. (Also this place is probably "not allowed" like many others around the area so ride/park here at your own risk.)

Thought I'd show my favorite trail section at Mountain Ridge. I'm still very much enjoying this KLX300R as well. If you get a chance to make it to PA and ride here this trail is right off the parking lot and it goes around a nice big loop.

Had a blast at Mountain Ridge in PA. I tried to stay close to my friend as we rode along. This is the Gentle Ben trail which also heads over to the hill climb spot. It was wet here and there but otherwise the conditions were perfect.

Honda XR150L - Road Ride

Took the XR down the road for the first time this year. I have around 300ish miles and I bet 90% of those miles are from offroad riding. I enjoy the comfort it has on the road and I see myself going on a good long backroad trip this summer.
WICOMICO TRAILS 2024

We had some mud here and there but the trails were fun in my opinion. I think its about 3 or 4 miles long. It's definitely fun to do a few laps around. Unfortunately my camera wasn't aimed well but I'll make sure it's good to go next time.

XR 150L- Spring Trail Ride

First ride of 2024 for this beast. Just put on some new Protaper "CR high" bars so I had to test them out and they're much better for me. The original bars felt like a beach cruiser bicycle and they were too narrow. I have more plans for the future of this bike as well so stay tuned for that. Going to take it to some OHV parks and such. Thanks for watching!

I agree she sounds like it's almost topped out, but I'm really only going to about 2/3 throttle. It also does get up to about 63 mph so I think it will be ok.

Hello, I'm using a GoPro 11 camera and its working just fine so far. I've heard good things about the new DJI camera though. Good luck with your channel as well!

In australia it's a farm bike, saves walking to check sheep cows water levels, not meant for trail riding, this is ridiculous

Thank you! So far I've had no oil consumption issues. I also only have around 450 miles (so that may change) however I'm not too worried about it.

That's the charging cable for the battery tender.

Under 25°F IMO is when it starts to get cold
Just fyi, you said you have 300ish miles on yours. Many people, myself included, saw a nice improvement in performance at around 1100 miles. I supposed that is when it is fully broken in.
Ahh ok cool! So far I'm happy with the performance and if my bike picks up any improvement by that mileage It'll be a nice bonus.

Is that all they have now to ride is dirt roads, what happened to the motorcycle trails, did the atv/sxs take over the whole park 🤔
@perrygibbons1816 it's definitely more SXS friendly. I didn't see any kind of single track or motorcycle trails during our stay. To be honest, I probably won't go back there too soon

The bike runs well, 70 miles, you can hear the engine very well, nice ride.
150 is great for wheelies. a larger sprocket helps with 1st gear pulls

I want to believe that Honda has everything set for a reason and I wouldn't want to touch it. Can you explain as to why they would not re-jet this at build time? Is it just cost? I also live in a colder climate and thinking about getting one and have seen a lot about the starter.
They jet this bike to pass emissions regulations, not for optimal power output. I honestly believe honda wouldn't set them up this way unless they had to due to our (USA) emissions standards.

@@gabrieljgrant_ No problem at all. I've personally owned only carbureted bikes until recently so I'm fairly familiar with them so I don't mind fooling around with them. With that being said, fuel injection is really nice to have and you'll never need to mess with anything unless you are going for more HP but it will usually be more expensive than a carbureted machine. Also, It's very easy to change a jet in the carb so its not a huge deal to fine tune this bike if needed.

Ok, I'm feeling better now about getting out on my XR150L on the mountain now. Just got a great skid plate & hand guards & better footpegs. I live near Yosemite, so lots of rock here. I just road it in the Mojave desert, I'm a terrible sand rider but it was easier than my DRZ400. Such a fun nimble bike, I really love it! We have super twisty pavement here, pretty fun in tight cornering too!

The minute your pops entered that trail I was like “careful on those stock D605’s pops !” He held that tail slide nice though 🫡 🤘🏼 I’d love to see a 0-60 between the KLX and the KLX R

Hi, nice vid. Same bike. Do you get alot of punctures on the back tyre? Reason for asking, I've had 3 punctures the last month and only ride to work and home on tar road. Thanks
Thankfully I have not had a flat yet but I assume the tubes are thin and easy to puncture. I've spent 90% of my time offroad with this bike with tires @ 15-18 psi (not sure if that ideal but that's what I've done so far)

Thank you! I did change the bars myself. You will have to drill a hole for the locator pins on each side of the switches. You'll see if/when you take them off what I mean. It's just to stop them from rotating when pushing buttons. Other than that all the cables still reach just fine.
