Hy can I email you to get more guidance sir?
Hi did you use the kaplin books in addition to the 300 page doc for psy/soc ? Did you make flash cards from the psy/soc 300 page document? If not how did you study that doc
Can you please share a daily study plan for Mcat? I don’t know how to organize my studies! Thank you
finally I found the best review.thank you
Thank you so much sir helping the others to pass the test . God bless you sir . Thanks 🙏
1. Planing (planning out studying, resources ). 2. Having short-term sacrifices ( waking up early to study, cutting distractions). 3. Accountability ( discipline yourself, recognize improvements). 4. Practice test (exercise your brain for further understanding). 5. Confidence ( Have faith that you can pass no matter what because you have studied). 6. Study partners(...) 7. Breaks! ( take time to process). 8. Dedicated study period(....)
How long did you study for the MCAT?
Thanks 🙏
My dream of getting into the medical school is ruined due to my poor performance in the MCAT exam
I've been struggling to pass the mcat for over a year . Does anyone know any alternative to pass the mcat. please share 🙏
Thank you for sharing Anki, never heard about it and I have tons of flashcards I made manually for my exam.
I’m currently trying to prepare for the Jan test date. I’m also a full time student at university. Do you think 4 months is enough time to prep for the exam? Or would you still recommend 6 months, and take it in Mar? I’m also a bit concerned because I’ll be applying to med schools soon next semester.
Hi! Did you use Anki when going through content review (for example did you have a deck for the review content of each subject?) or did you start using it for practice questions after content review was done?
Hi, what resources do you recommend for practice questions? other than AAMC
Hi Phil! Do you think it would be okay if I took a 2 week break in between studying for the MCAT? I am going on a trip and was wondering if that would hinder my studying.
Man thank you for this! I had to postpone my MCAT due to lack of application questions. This info is gold!
I have Princeton Review exams, is that as good as Blueprint?
Thanks man, taking a few exams here soon and will use these tips!
Super helpful video Phil keep it up you deserve more views
Hey Phil! Thank you so much for this video. My goal for the MCAT is to make a certain threshold score (510). So, I am not trying to score in the 100th percentile like you did. I’m also trying to limit the cost of my MCAT prep. With that said, do you believe that UWorld is a necessity? I have the Kaplan books, Miledown Deck, Blueprint (4 FLs), and the AAMC bundle. However, I hear UWorld recommended so often that I am worried that I’m making a horrible mistake by not buying and using it. Thanks!
Little did we know this would be the last we hear from Phil:(
Please make an MCAT math review! Basic stuff like inverse relationships, logs, exponent etc
Better late than never; goal has been set for 2022. Thanks Phil! Resourceful and inspiring content!
That is an old school shirt lol I used to wear the same thing 🤪
Finally a straight answer.
Do you think I should start using the Uworld question bank even if I haven't finished content review yet? Also if I do start using the question bank daily, how many questions would you recommend daily?
great video i need this for the LSAT
So I’m on a budget should I do the yearly subscription with uworld or the aamc
I did the financiar Aid applications with AAMC, and they give you all that you need. You have 4 practice tests, plus each section worth of questions and flashcards. Your answers and concepts you need to focus are there
Great video! I was wondering if you had advice on Anki settings for the MCAT, particularly the "Steps" part of the settings. Thanks!
Just wanted to say I enjoy your videos. Would you mind making videos on study strategies you use to assimilate new information and the extracurriculars you participated in during undergrad. Thanks and best wishes!
Thanks for this video !!!
Why don't you give people a simple guideline like if you are a 3.3 GPA and want to achieve a 507 mcat score then you need XXX hours total. And if you want to increase 1 point then you need an additional XXX hours. Same go for 3.6 GPA student with a goal of 510. etc.... Then the 3.9 gpa one will have a rough estimate how many total hours to achieve 515 or so. These are range and can be effect by many circumstances obviously but it is a +/- within 2-3 points
Good idea! Would need a lot of data for something like that though.
Tip 1: be really smart
Hahahaha I'm flattered. In all honesty natural test-taking ability helps, but I think if you study the right materials and be critical with yourself about what you know/don't know - you can definitely improve your score.
Did you use cloze deletion or front and back anki flashcards? Trying to figure out which type of cards will help me the most!
I used front and back, but didn't know use to use cloze deletion while I was prepping for the MCAT! I think both types of cards are helpful, with cloze deletion cards being a bit faster to make. Experiment and find what works best for you! I would also learn how to use image occlusion cards, those can be really helpful!
what was your secret for CARS?
My main advice for CARS is 1) Do LOTS of practice, ideally 2-3 passages a day throughout your prep, 2) Read for the main idea - not details. Look for ideas repeated throughout the passage and use those to answer the questions 3) Don't go back to the passage after reading it unless the question explicitly tells you to 4) Skip questions if you can't answer them within a minute

Congrats! And thanks
Happy to help!
Thank you!!!
Happy I could help!
Thank you for sharing this advice! I’m 19, and I’m a pre-med college student. I’ll def keep these things in mind. Also, I found your channel a week or two ago. Good stuff man! Keep up the good work! Maybe some med school vlogs/reflections in the future? 🤔 haha
is this a TedTalk channel?
Hi Phil! What do you personally consider to be “a lot“ of questions throughout prep? How much did you do overall? 2K, 4K, 6K?
Hey! I would say from Practice Exams, UWorld, and the AAMC practice questions, I did around 5K questions in total. Wow. Never thought about that lol. Hope that helps!
Whoever disliked can catch these hands
Awesome video man!!! Currently taking the MCAT in 28 days so I will definitely incorporate your tips!

I'll try my best to make some sort of passage walk through/test-taking strategy video soon!
I subbed for the rocky shirt👊👊, well that and the useful information
Hahaha glad you liked the video... and the shirt! 👍🏾
100th percentile? How...
Honestly... you can do it too! It really comes down to practice and a little bit of luck. I did pretty average on my SAT in high school, but I practiced for my MCAT consistently for 6 months and felt the exam become way easier over time! The key is being critical of yourself. If you miss something, go back and try to understand that topic, don’t just move on!
