Think I saw some 3ABs deliberately allowed to connect - for testing purposes I guess! 01:02 Guess this isn't the legendary combo escape, but me messing up the timing because the 4K didn't even connect! 01:36 Looked it up and Cass' 66A is punishable with Yoshi's 6b9, but the CH spark muddies whether it was a successful punish. 01:46 Small character bonus, tech crouching under some Mids! Also happened at 01:38! 07:34 Misinput the Evade as Trooper Roll. Works on the next try two seconds later. 22:46 Uno Reverse ring out!

As sad as that 2K whiff is, it's not without explaination. Raph's 2K hits to his left and the hitbox is fairly thin so animations that have you raise your right leg (like Voldo's K here) or otherwise unalign yourself to the left, can make it whiff seemingly for no reason. 3A is a problem move indeed. Septimo seems to use 3A specifically which is punishable at -15 rather than 22A which is practically safe. I'd just block it out and punish there, so in Raph's case a 6BB
Thanks for the explanation, enry. It is pretty sad, one of the few flaws of the game being inconsistent hitboxes. It makes sense with experience, but it can still be tilting when it happens in game! I don't have enough Voldo experience yet, to figure out safe interrupt points. I was probably going for a 4K here to go under High spam and get a CH, but Septimo kept doing a couple of Highs and then 3A/22A. I figured he'd mix in a throw or more Blind Stance As, but I guess I kept letting the 3A work for him.

I think the first 6K whiffed because crouching hit and the second whiffed because side hit. Especially on small/small-ish characters anything other than a standing front hit usually doesn't net the 6K
Yep, I could replicate side hit making it whiff, but not the crouched hit.

This the kind of matchup that really shows how slow Asta is
Asta has 4B which is a way better Mid tool than anything Raph or Kilik have. Add grabs that are the same speed as everyone else's but better range and damage, Bullrush to crush Highs, and PT to also crush Highs and Verticals and mad pushback on block on his midrange stuff - he has all the tools to keep out at midrange and kill you with 4B/Bullrush/throws once you're in. He also has the best post GI mixups. This matchup is at least even if not in Astaroth's favour.

How was the connection with Ourse?
Mostly playable although it turned into a slideshow around 8:40. We started with 7 or 8 buffer, but increased it to 11 or 12 when the ping spiked at 8:40. Turned it down to 10 again when it settled, and it was fine besides the lag lows at that ping
