A tip I havent seen yet, as I underestimated this event and had to get crafty, even with save-scumming, to defeat it... And by defeat it, I mean "hide like a b*tch" bc the only way for my colony to survive was to summon a flesh monster Pit Gate for my people to hide in while the orb rampaged. Before activating the orb, clear out just the beginning area of the pit gate so your colonists will have a safe respite to hide in during the event. When all but one sacrifical pawn is safe in the pit, send the orb to the other side of the map and pray, OR do what I did and havr your royal drop some troopers and cataphracts in between your pawn and the orb to slow it down for a few seconds while you flee to the safety of the fleshy pit

My biggest mistake was making a Sanguophaggot a mechanitor. I was very afraid of losing him, but now he is afraid of fire (which cannot be avoided during battle and therefore he often runs away with the mechanoids, sometimes directly to the enemy) as well as the need for torpor, during which I am often attacked

Damn, haha. Peak rimworld experience. I've had it happen that inspecting the pawn caused the mettal horror jump out because it gor exposed i guess, don't know if it's rng or means messages that the person is infected are always bs.

Garry was suspected to have metal horrors inside him, unfortunately, this was not actually the case. I know that their are probably guides out there to detecting metal horrors but I have to say, learning the hard way has made for some really fun and interesting catastrophes. RIP Garry.

I turned on the sphere during the anomaly finale. It ate everything the monolith threw at me then i had to summon trade caravans to prevent it eating my base.

I remember when I was relatively new to the game. Never fought a Thrumbo and had no desire to, but then I noticed their horns were worth a lot of money in trade. So my 5-6 colonists decided to hunt one. It was a bad idea.

I love it when the game generates all scythers or some shit. It definetly doesnt fuck balance in the ass at all. Had a siege rock 2:05 up with EVERYONE using a sniper rifle and killing my centipedes in 2 volleys, really cool
