Thank you!!!
OK now I know I can saw off the dead part at the back
This has really helped me for what I need to do.. thanks so much!,
Me too!
I don't believe that you are not using gloves and masks with all that fertiliser and exposing that little child to that as well. Very dangerous for Legionnaires. Please use them and educate other gardeners.
Thank you. Subscribing.
Have you tried vermiculite to hold water
Beautiful job, Ladies.
thanks for the vid, I'm about to remount my 2 staghorn fern. Thanks for the tips 🙂
Great job! It looks wonderful now!!!
Seems the anchor board you’re using is to thin and will rot out in a few years. I’ve got a big one that was hung with small chains but one of the 3 chains rusted out. I’m thinking of drilling a hole through its center running a good size chain through the hole then attaching a good base plate on the bottom to support the plant!
It's a pity we can't post photos here. I need to do a bit of investigation but I was gifted a 20yr old stag horn... In a pot. Pot is breaking apart and the staghorn is crambed in there. I have no idea how to mount it, trim it etc😢 or help it
I would like to see what you did with the wire at the back of the board. Please can you tell me how you anchored the wire you put through the board and connected it at the back? Thanks
What the millipedes ever do to you??? 🤬
Did a huge one today for mum, cut oft the old board and trimmed with 12” reciprocation saw, looks great on new board and got about 10 good sized pups. Fed it with seasol. 👍
👍👍👍
👍👍👍
Great video and thanks! I do have a very important question that was not covered though. If you are mounting a large staghorn as one piece and there are multiples in there (of course right) , which way do we have as the superior part of the finished mount? I know that many staghorns will die if hung upside down but when there are so many and all are facing different directions, what do you do?
Same with mine, was in a pot so they go all directions
Great video, where did you get the timber board from?
Much needed info,thankyou😊
Awsome Garden.thankyou.😊
I live in Perth and have struggled for over a year to grow anything organic, theres not much of info out there, finally some help that i have been looking for, thank you so much, please make more videos, much needed for Perth Organic growers😊
Hey! Look what just popped up in my feed! Awesome!
Please make more videos 🙏 I've been looking for people in Perth.
They really abused the hell out of those poor ferns twisting it around for the camera. Such a shame. If I was the owner of the fern I’d be upset.
Agreed!!! Removing a little bit of the “dead“ is debatable. Removing all the dead and beating the thing up is a whole different story! These ferns live off of the “dead.“
Staghorns are very hardy I see this handling from a lot of professionals when mounting them. The shields only are effective to hold water for the plant when they’re in proximity it makes sense to remove old distant basal fronds if they want to continue keeping the plant healthy and manageable. Promise the plant’s feelings aren’t hurt, unlike yours.
Hi, could you please list down the items you have used in the soil? That would actually help us while shopping.
Nice video

Great video! I have been gifted one almost as large that needs a serious trim and remount. Wondering who I can share this with so they can do it for me 😂 or at least help ❤️
Lovely garden
Everything looks so healthy
Thanks! I have one almost the same size. Just a suggestion - a reciprocating saw (sort of like a large electric knife) with a 12 inch pruning blade would make the job easier.
Hi, Nice informarion. I also require some help. I have got one huge Stagnorn fern and want to hang it to the wall. I know we cannot meet physically. Is there a way to connect with you.
Great video 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
How do you protect them from the white moths? And chooks! All my veggies get eaten caterpillars or chooks haha
G'day Jane You're on the money there, I popped some long sticks either side of the garden bed and draped a net over the top. The silverbeet is now big enough to handle the chooks so I've taken the net off. I've got a sacrificial crop of nastrutiums that draw the interest of the crawlers. I've also got tons of flowers that attract insects who eat pests that may eat my crops. Thanks for the question, I hope my answer helps.
Wow! What did it do to the wall?
Lucky it was a brick wall!
Thank you, this is one of the best videos I've seen for saving my large elkhorns. Now all I need is a twin to help! 😀😀
Glad it was helpful Helen. Good luck finding a twin, we all have one out there apparently.
what brand of organic pelt food do yall use?

I want to That...
Hi Rachel & Emma, I live in perth also in a coastal suburb about 1.5 ks from the beach. With 2 x 2.25 m2 raised beds. The annual garlic growing ritual has consumed me for a few years now 😅. I usually sow my saved cloves around Anzac Day to early May. They seem to start falling over at about the 150-160 day count from sowing date. I battle with a few things - high PH soil, wind, aphids (I spray with mix of neem oil and Organic hemp liquid soap to manage them) and watering frequency. I d love to see your videos of how your Garlic progresses and is maintained throughout this season. Thx for sharing your tips. Ps I think my cultivar is Italian Red but no one seems to know 😆 👍 I’ve subbed of course no 39 with a bullet 😉
Hey there Lykz, thanks for your comment, we love to hear about others experiences, especially coastal. The garlic has shot up and is looking gorgeous. That's a great idea having regular updates on the garlic, we'll get onto that. How are yours going this year?
Good one Thomas😆
Lovely girls
