I sincerely believe that Waylon Jennings was/is the greatest country star of all time. Of course this is simply my opinion and I realize that it’s ultimately not a competition. Most of the old timers that would surely be in the Top 10 or Top 25 if there were such thing as an All-Time greatest male country singer rankings list... most of them were friends with one another. Besides Waylon id definitely say that Cash, Willie, Merle, G.Jones and Hank Jr are most likely THE “Cream of the Crop” and there’s many other old school country artists who built a legendary status themselves.... Guys such as C.Daniels, D.A.Coe, Billy Joe Shaver, B.Bare, R.Miller, J.Reeves, J.Paycheck, JJ Walker C.Twitty, C.Pride and many more. Waylon was (imo) the undeniable TOP DOG and Leader of the pack throughout the “Outlaw Country” movement. “Wanted: The Outlaws” a genius compilation album by Waylon, Willie, Tompall Glaser and his beautiful wife Jesse Colter. This was an album that was written, produced and recorded AWAY FROM or “Out from under” the overly controlling, micro-managing, domineering, Bull Whip cracking ways of the Nashville labels and more specifically Chet Atkins. In my opinion it was the outstanding success of record sales of “Wanted” and the arrival of Billy Joe Shaver and his collection of privately written songs. GREAT songs (that Waylon recognized immediately as being future classics) that helped even further propel Waylons popularity. Doing the annual “Willie Nelson 4th of July Picnic” concerts along with Willie and Leon Russell was always full of fun, loose, wild, “Outlaw Country” excitement. Other acts joining the event through the years included Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Grateful Dead, George Jones, Jimmy Buffet, The Pointer Sisters, Neil Young, Linda Ronstandt, David Allen Coe, Earl Scruggs to name a few. These early shows were described as “Cowboys & Hippies all enjoying the same music and having a good time together”. Around the time of Waylons “Ladies Love Outlaws” album he began to grow his hair long, grow a beard, use Hells Angels as security, always packin, had a bus full of Dynamite 🧨💥 The whole Outlaw thing was not merely implied, Waylon truly lived it. I’ve also heard about the $1K per day Cocaine habit, having up to 6 women at a time in a hotel and Waylon would run from room to room throughout the night... satisfying them all 😂. There will never be another Waylon!!!

It was so sad that June died on June 13 2003and Johnny Cash said I will be sailing right behind and he died on September 13 of 2003😢 the saddest day in country music. History is when the man in Black passed away, and the songs that he wrote before he passed away, influenced my life.

I remember Dad and Mom had outlaws cops judges and me and my brother their kids as freinds and family. They came over cause my Dads cousin had made a platinum record.but i really like their singing and songs too. Kinda cool to as the 1960's and 1970's were wild as it was anyway.

Johnny Cash is one of the best singer/ song writers I've ever had the pleasure of hearing sing wgenI was growing up and even now that I am in my prime. Kid Rock is now one of the best singer performers in the current wave of entertainers. The list is long. Thank you God for all the Wonderful entertainers I have listened to on this music show for Johnny Cash so I can hear all the Wonder music I was blessed to hear in my life!!! Happy Easter to all(2024).

I'll be real here. After hearing the jokes & even a song "Chucky Cheese Hell" (Tim Wilson) hilarious song, btw... My experience at Chuck E Cheese was... surprisingly... Good I felt like I could just loosen up, let my guard down, just enjoy something Everything there; was surprisingly positive; the atmosphere, the waiters, the cashiers, the mascot (a person in a Chuck E Cheese suit - who deserved an award) all were nice, pleasant, courteous, staff The pizza was surprisingly good; in fact, one of the best pizzas I'd ever eaten. The drinks were good too The highlights were an Arcade machine; a light gun game, Pirate themed, that involved a wooden Captain's Wheel, like a on a ship, that you'd have to spin, to steer the ship away from hazards, pick a path, choose the next level, etc, while focusing on shooting the on screen stuff - one of the best light gun games, since Area 51, Time Crisis, Carn-Evil, House of the Dead, Crypt Killer, Vampire Nights (not the anime - it was a PS2 game) & Revolution X, & the best one: Jurassic Park - that's worth those 4 Tokens, to blast dinos back into extinction, with a light gun Aside from a few Guitar Hero jams, it was especially cool, to Challenge the mascot in suit Chuck E Cheese, at Air Hockey, (who was incredibly nice, in person, er, in costume, er, In anthro?) After qouting "the League of Evil Exes, have come to challenge you! To Air Hockey!" From Scott Pilgrim vs The World All moments, I'll never forget And surprisingly good food, drinks, service, atmosphere, etc (Regardless of what the Tim Wilson Song: Chucky Cheese Hell, tells you, which is a hilarious & favorite Song) So to hear how Chuck E Cheese is dying, is sad, like a place you had fond memories of... sigh... at least the memory remains... I'll still remember that Air Hockey Match with an iconic mascot It's also sad, to loose Tim Wilson. The Songs will never be the same I'll miss hearing him on the Radio Station; Rick 103 "John Boy & Billy Big Show" RIP Tim Wilson 1961 ~ 2014 Chuck E Cheese & Fond Memories Enjoy the Air Hockey & Light Guns in the Sky.
